Im Parched

I finish talking, having told them most of what happened. I left out Asami and told them I just got kicked out of Falvos Dungeon.

"So your an abnormal." Elizabeth says.

"Abnormal?" I ask

"There are two types of Lyna, natural and abnormal. Natural Lyna are born with magic and can use it since birth, and the most common. Abnormal are those who aren't birthed with magic, but obtain it afterwards, they are incredibly rare. The difference between them is more than that though. Lets see, how do I describe this... oh yes. So you say you've had these powers since Saturday right." I nod and Liz continues. "Well Myla and Hino have had them since birth but you've almost caught up with them in three days. This is another part of being an abnormal. They tend to become stronger faster. Of course its not stagnant. The stronger you get the harder it'll be to do so again." I nod, absorbing this. After a moment Kallen starts talking.

"So Eric, why did you attack the Golden Devil?" He asks, confusing me with his question.

"Is the Golden Devil the golden dude I saw earlier? And what do you mean why?"

"Yes, he's the Golden Devil and its not just a name. He is a real live devil. And I want to know your reasoning. You mentioned that Falvo told you about the Katorg Guilds business and offered you to join. And Myla and Hino also said that they were going to offer it to you again if you didn't resist. So I want to know why." I take a moment to think before answering.

"Its a bit personal, but I have some beef with the guild because reasons and also disagree with their business dealings." I say trying to be stern and confident. Kallen looks over to Liz.

"How's it look?" He asks her, she just smiles and nods in reply. I look at her confused and before I can ask Kagiyama starts talking.

"You said you got a Domain Crystal right? We didn't find it on you during our search, but do you have it? Can you show us? Or even better could you take us inside?" His wife sighs.

"I do have it with me, its currently with my weapon and armor. However I'd like to keep it hidden for now." I reply.

"Hmm, why is that?" Myla asks disappointed.

"Well it's just that, I'm pretty sure at least three people in this room could kill me before I could stand and its my only out." I reply smiling nervously.

"Ahh, so that's why your hand has been like that, I thought you were ready with an attack spell." Liz says chuckling. She's referring to my right hand that is under the table and I've been keeping ready to pull out my crystal and escape with.

"We wouldn't attack you you know." Hino says. I see her mom look down at hearing this.

"No he's just being smart, keeping an escape ready." Kagiyama chips in.

"Anyway, Eric you said you had two spell books right?" Kallen asks. I nod my head and he continues. "Would you give them to us. We'll pay if course. Their just rare and we'd like to use them to strengthen our members."

"That depends. What are your guilds motives, goals and ideas?" I ask him.

"Right, right I'm sorry I got a bit carried away. The Silver Garden Guild was created by my ancestors. They wanted to restore order to the world of Lyna. You see back then most Lyna used their powers however they wanted. They'd kill or steal whenever they felt like it. So the Silver Garden was formed. They gathered like mined people and started regulating and punishing Lyna. Nowadays we're one of the many guilds who work with the government. We help others and when they inform us of any Lyna trouble and we look into it. Currently we're investigating the Katorg guild." He finishes and motions for Kagiyama to start talking.

"The Blue Locus guild was founded by my great grandfather who first gathered the rest of the founders to fight an undead army. After their victory they continued their work of hunting down undead. That's mostly what we do. We do work with the worlds governments but we mostly stick to cleansing undead. That's why we're in America now. We had a oracle, who unfortunately passed a few years ago, inform us that a powerful Litch King would appear here in ten years and we moved out here to investigate. Unfortunately we've run out of leads so we're assisting Kallen in hopes the Katorg may know something. The Lich King would need bodies and the Katorg deal with them frequently." I nod before Liz speaks.

"And I'm a Sensor! I sense mana and can even see it. I also know when you lie!" Hearing this Kallen starts coughing before getting mad at her. She continues ignoring him. "So is it true? Did you manage to wound the Golden Devil?"
