Ilum (Tier 3)

After having been through many missions without your lightsaber, you finally feel you have had enough. A Jedi isn't a Jedi without a lightsaber, you reason... You leave your room and go to find Master Yoda to give you permission to leave for one of the crystal cored worlds to find yourself a new one. You open your door and find him standing right in front of it.

Lana: Master Yoda!

Yoda: Arrived, the time has. A new lightsaber, you will create. To Ilum, you will travel, find your crystal, there, you will.

Lana: Finally! I was believing I would never get a new lightsaber!

Yoda: Not a Jedi's primary weapon, the lightsaber is. Your mind is, what truly makes you a Jedi.

Lana (sarcastically without a sarcastic tone): I understand the lesson master! Thank you for making me realize how strong I could be without a weapon.

Yoda (shaking his head as he leaves): Much to learn, you still have, young one...

With renewed anticipation, you rush back into the room, put on your armour, your weapons, extra heat cells to keep you warm, activate HK69 and make ready to travel to Ilum. While packing in, you take a look at Valare's old lightsaber, which you found on Dathomir many months ago. It used to belong to HK69's previous master, a Sith woman. You have been spending some of your time to fix and repair the sabre, removing the rust and making it functional again. All you needed was a new kyber crystal to place into it, as the old corrupted crystal was beyond repair. You put it into your bag as well, hoping to add an extra lightsaber to your arsenal soon. Before leaving you are having second thoughts about that sabre.

Lana (thinking): Is it truly wise to use an old dead Sith's lightsaber as my own? I know it's just a tool and it had nothing to do with its owner's bad intentions... I have also removed the red, corrupted crystal... What could go wrong now?

Hopping into your ship, you enter the coordinates to Ilum's old Jedi Temple and jump to hyperspace. Following a short journey, the ship slows down and enters Ilum's orbit.

Ilum is a snow covered icy world in the Unknown regions. The planet is uninhabited, it would have been unreported by galactic history, had it not had a kyber crystal core. The Jedi had been taking kyber crystals for their lightsabers from there for hundreds of generations by now.

The Jedi have built a Jedi temple there to hold their crystal gatherings in it's caves, which was the rite for the younglings to find their first kyber crystals and create their lightsabers.

The temple has no landing platforms, you land right outside the main door and approach it on foot.

HK69 (while you are leaving the ship): Master, do you require any assistance of mine? Should I accompany you into that bizarre rock being called a temple?

Lana: Thanks for the offer, but there's no need to HK! The planet is uninhabited, besides, I've already been there once, almost a decade ago, to do the same rite. I'll be back in no time, just keep the ship running!

HK69: As you wish, master! I'll again, do the extremely vibration filled and definitely fame earning task of waiting for you in the ship! Huzaah!

Lana: Very funny...! I'll call you if I need you, but I hope that won't be the case! Besides, there's nothing to be killed here, so coming with me into that place of peace and tranquility, might even damage your processor!

HK69: Peace and tranquility?! Master, don't you ever bring me to such a horrible place again! My inner core shakes at the mere thought of going anywhere near that wicked place!

While you are approaching the front door of the temple somebody is watching you from a distant high point.

? (while watching you through a binocular): A Jedi! It was about time...! I have been waiting for ages for one of your kind to finally arrive to this place! I might get my well deserved bounty after all! Activating signal jamming!
