Ignore the fat elf, and help him inside

"Sorry, can't leave you alone." you say as you open the door for him, and help him in.

You sit him down on a nearby sofa, and ask, "You have a first aid kit?"

"In the kitchen, first cupboard, second shelf." he reluctantly responds.

You follow his directions, immediately find them and sit down next to him. You take out a cue tip and dip it in some medicinal ****, before applying to to his wounds. He flinches, but doesn't respond much beyond that. He just sits there, looking at the floor, while you take care of him.

"Why?" he asks.

"Pardon?"

He then looks at you for the first time. "Why are you taking care of me?"

"Why not?"

He laughs, "Are you kidding? Look at me, I'm a fat disgusting blob. An impure half elf. A waste of breath and space."

"Is that what they call you?" you seriously ask, as you clean his nose of blood.

"They don't have to."

"Why would you say that about yourself?"

"Because it's true!" he snaps.

You pause and look at him, but you don't see any of what he describes. Maybe you're just used to his weight, as he's not that far removed from an orc's size. "I don't think you're a fat disgusting blob."

He genuinely seems shocked to hear you say that, and stares into your eyes for a moment as a blush spreads across his face. But then he turns away, "Sorry, but I don't believe you."

"What would make you believe me?"

He looks back at you again, once more shocked beyond words. He hesitates to speak, so shocked, but finally asks, "Well um... would you, uh... be my girlfriend?"
