Chapter 2 by allison akusia allison akusia

What should I do first?

Ignore it. It's either dangerous or it's nothing.

You pull the curtains closed so that you don't have to think about it any more. It's probably nothing and anyway, your mother is out buying groceries. You wouldn't want to be caught out there with a wild animal! The next morning you have school. It's so strange being the new girl. The one with the odd accent that everyone whispers about. In your first hour class, a tall boy sits down next to you. He has short, but unruly black hair and deep blue eyes. At first glance you thought they were brown, but as the two of you unwittingly stare at each other, you are now sure they are the color of a midnight sky. Not quite black. You blush softly as you realize you've been gawking and give him a friendly smile, but he doesn't return your grin. Instead, he looks you over a few times, those depthless orbs travelling from your legs upward toward your breast and finally resting at your lips. "Seamus." He finally offers his name. He's soft-spoken and his accent seems light. He must not be from around here. Everyone else's speech seems to confuse you when they speak with heavy Irish accents. "I'm Annie." you reply and he you can see a smile flash briefly accross his lips. In a second, it's gone again. Classes go by in a blur and you've made friends. Seems everyone hangs around just to find out more about you. You don't see Seamus again until school is over. You're waiting for your mother to give you a ride and she's 15 minutes late. Seamus pulls up in his big black SUV and nods his head to you. "Get in. I'll take ya home, Annie." He licks his lips and you think you know what's going through his head and it's not a bad idea.

What will you do now?
