Ice cold collision

"Let's see. Where to start?" Ilana said to herself as she made her way through the snow. Thankfully, due to her snow nymph physiology, the snow and freezing cold didn't bother her in the slightest as she thought about where to get the help from the humans. Half a second later, the young nymph came to a halt when she felt her bare feet step on what felt like stone.

"Oh, I think I've heard of this!" Ilana said in excitement as she looked in both directions of the road. "This is a... 'Rowda', was it? And where I find a rowda, I find humans!"

With that plan in her head, Ilana skipped down the road to continue her search...

"Are we there yet?! Turn up the freaking heater already!" A blonde twenty-two year old woman whined annoyingly in the back seat of the car. "And why can't I get any service out here?!"

"Please remind me why we brought her along, Joy." A Japanese-American woman around the same age asked in annoyance from the driver's seat, turning to the twenty-two year old redhead in the passengers seat. "Our yearly trips to the cabin have been just between you and me since we were both in diapers. Why bring your annoying cousin along?"

"I heard that!"

"It was meant to be heard!"

"Mei, calm down." Joy said with a smile, "Sure, Tonya may seem annoying now, but once the two of you get to know each other, you and her will be the best of friends just like we are!"

Mei raised an eyebrow.

"... My mom and Uncle George wanted me to bring her." Joy admitted with a flat expression. "They both think that some fresh air and time away from both the city and cell phone service would be good for her."

"Wait... 'No cell phone service'?!" Tonya barked, pocketing her phone. "What the hell does that mean?! What kinda ski resort doesn't have cell phone service?!"

"Uh..." Joy began, chuckling sheepishly. "I never said we were going to a ski resort..."

"Really?" Mei deadpanned, "You're a waitress. She mooches off her daddy. I'm a manager of a movie theater. And she thinks we can afford a ski resort?"

"Well then, where are we going?!" Tonya demanded.

"Well, Mei and I rent this little cabin in the woods for a few weeks and -"

"NOPE!" Tonya shouted. "Turn around and drop me off at the first motel so I can call Daddy to pick me up!"

"Now there's a good idea!" May exclaimed.

"Mei! Tonya! Will you please just - LOOK OUT!"

Ilana skipped down the road with her eyes closed before hearing a loud screech, opening her eyes to see a large, shiny black beast with circular legs the size of a bison swerve off the road and plow head first into a snow bank.

"Oh my!" Ilana gasped. "Was that screaming I heard from within? That thing must have eaten a human! I gotta save them!"

"Why the hell was there a naked woman in the road?!" Tonya shrieked.

"How the hell should I know?!" Mei snapped back.

"Look," Joy said, "let's just calm down and try to -"

"SWEET PIXIE SPRITES! IT ATE THREE HUMANS!"

At the sound of the voice, all three turned around to see Ilana staring through the window before pounding on the glass.

"Spit them out, you horrid, ugly beast!"
