I was invisible

I looked down and... Nothing.

I was literally speechless in shock. It was a good job the coffee mug was on the table, or I'd have dropped it. Where my legs should have been, there was nothing to see. My dressing gown, I could see, but of my body inside it, there was no sign.

I did't notice the toaster finish, I just stood there staring. I reached down and touched my thigh. I was still there sure enough, but not visible. I was sure I was going mad - I mean, what was the alternative? invisibility?

Trembling slightly, I walked upstairs. I don't know how I managed to keep my brain together, but I thought to drop my dressing gown before I went back into the bedroom.

My wife lay there. Here head turned in my direction, only to swivel away again. She looked right through me! I moved further into the room. I needed to know if this was real, or just part of the madness. After a minute stood with her looking right through me, I was convinced - I had become invisible.

I cautiously retreated from the room, before considering my options. Now I'm usually a nice guy, but the idea of being invisible without people knowing... I knew I wouldn't be able to resist taking advantage of it.

Moving quietly, I shouted to my wife from the stairs that I was going out to the shops for some bits. Naked and invisible, I wondered where to start my explorations.
