I just need to sleep. I'll visit Delilah in the morning. [Continues Delilah's path.]

“Just…Leave me for the night, Arabella. I’ll be fine. Just need some rest.”

Arabella nods, sure she’s not happy about your choice but decides it’s best not to protest your desire to sleep. She joins you in bed, and you both bask in each other's heat until you’re ready to prepare for the next day.

You knock on the door and exhale while you are waiting. It doesn’t take Delilah long to answer the door. You stayed relatively late into the day before visiting her. Still, when you see the steaming cup of coffee in her hands, you figure she hasn’t awake for long.

Delilah smiles at you and blinks. She doesn’t have her usual makeup on and is outside of uniform. Instead, she has a pair of shorts and a matching black T-shirt. Yet, even without trying, she retains her position of “cutest girl in town.”

She creeps out in the cool weather and wraps herself around you. “Fancy meeting you here! Are– why are you here?”

“I heard you had some trouble last night with some men, so I’m dropping by to see how you’re doing,” you tell Delilah as she looks up at you. She smiles and hugs you again, soaking in your warmth.

“Worried?” She inquires.

“Concerned,” you reply.

“You don’t need to be,” she takes your hand and leads you inside. “But, let’s talk more about it inside.”

When you step inside, you see Delilah’s kitchenette. Delilah’s coffee pot is half-empty, and there is a lingering smell of eggs in the air. Her living room is as you remembered it, but with the morning light coming through the window, it gives it a more welcoming feel to it.

Delilah goes over to the couch and sits down, patting the empty spot next to her so you can join her. “You really don’t need to worry about me, Warren, I’m fine. I’m more flattered than you know that you’d come out and see how I’m doing, though.”

She maintains an easy connection with you with her teal eyes. They never linger off or leave you staring at her face. Instead, she smiles and scoots closer to you as she talks, reassuring you she feels fine. You’d like to remain on the subject longer, but Delilah cuts in before you can muster out more than two words.

“Enough chit-chat,” she places her coffee down and looks at you longingly. “I haven’t…uh, I haven’t felt you in forever. I miss it.”

You look at Delilah quizzically with your eyebrows raised somewhat. “I didn’t mean for this to become a ‘fun visit,’ Delilah.” You tell her, but can’t help but notice how cute she looks in her nightwear. With her hair styled the way that it was, you could see all of her face. Her cuteness and picture perfect, and her smile melted your heart.

“Let’s forget about all that stuff,” she leans in and kisses you. “I don’t want to think about that right now. It’s too early, don’t you think?”

At first, you didn’t think that, but as you felt Delilah press herself against you, you thought maybe it was too early to recall the bad of the day before. Scarlet, Kenji, Delilah’s trouble makers– the relevance of those figures faded, and that mattered were the two of you.

When Delilah breaks the kiss, she’s nearly on your lap. “I was thinking about doing something to you a few days ago,” she says between kisses. “Would you be angry with me if I tried it out?”
