Chapter 93 by reaper13 reaper13

How long does it take for Dove to return?

Shortly after, a different harpy comes in

While I am lying there, contemplating my future of being **** wed to a harpy, a different comes in. One with a lot of black feathers, black hair and even black clothes.

“No, not again.” I groan weakly.

The black harpy rushes to me and says, “Darx. It’s fine. I’m Kiara.”

Suddenly the harpy becomes a little blurry, but she quickly becomes sharp enough to see clearly again. Except now Kiara is standing in her place, hood and all.

“Kiara?” I ask in surprise. “You can do shapeshifting?”

“It is my third skill, [Glamer].” Kiara says as she starts untying the ropes on my wrists. “It’s a powerful illusion. Make me both look and feel like someone else for as long as I maintain the skill with mana.”

Then Kiara sees my loose pants.

“They already got to you, didn’t they?” She says with concern in her voice.

I look away in shame and sigh. “One of them did.”

“Don’t worry about it. This is simply what harpies do. It’s the reason our species don’t get along.” Kiara tries to calm me as she loosens my binds.

As soon as my hands are loose, I reach for my pants and close the buttons. Great, now I’m loose. But I’m not free yet.

I quickly put on my shirt and then my brigandine while Kiara drinks a mana potion. Kiara even gives me my sword back. I can’t believe I lost it or that she put in the effort to carry it all the way here. Kiara is truly reliable.

Then I turn to Kiara and ask, “Do you know how to escape?”

“I think I may know of a way.” She says, “But we’ll have to be creative.”

Kiara then places a hand on my shoulder and casts her [Glamer] skill on me. I look at myself, to see what kind of illusion she has placed on me. I see my armor has been replaced by some casual clothes and I also see … boobs?

“Why did you give me …?” I start asking, but I stop once I hear my voice sounds distinctively feminine. And when I bring up my arms and see my hands are gone. I’ve got black feathers all over my arms now. I quickly run to a mirror in the room and I see a harpy looking back at me.

I turn back to Kiara and with a feminine voice I ask, “You turned me into a harpy?”

“You only look like a harpy.” Kiara explains. “And the illusion is powerful enough that you will feel like one too. You can even use those wings to fly. But as soon as I run out of mana, the illusion will end.”

Kiara then uses her shadow manipulation to cover her arms and legs in darkness. The shadows on her legs turn into black bird legs and those on her arms turn into black feathers.

“Why didn’t you use your [Glamer] on yourself this time?” I ask.

“I can only use it on one person at a time.” Kiara explains. “Same for my shadow manipulation. Now, try if you can fly.”

I flap my arms a bit and I manage to get a little off the ground. I just don’t quite know which angle is best for lift. Kiara then tells me it would be best if I try to rely on gliding instead. In case I mess up, she’ll come in and grab me.

Kiara then leaves the room. Before I follow her outside, I quickly lift the skirt Kiara’s [Glamer] has given me. Yeah, I have black panties now, with obviously no male renitals inside. Kiara was thorough enough to even give me a pussy. Then I check my boobs. Never thought I’d see the day when I have sexy tits. Too bad I can’t try any of them right now, though. Then I follow Kiara out.

When I walk out of the building, I actually see quite an amazing village. We are up in the trees, with treehouses everywhere, and harpies are flying from one building to another. I guess that’s why none of the buildings are connected to each other with bridges or walkways. Being an aerial species, harpies don’t need those. Fortunately, we are not very far from the ground.

Kiara has me start gliding first. Hopefully don’t mess up. But if I do, Kiara is right behind me. She apparently has more experience in flying so she can swoop down and catch me if necessary.

The gliding actually works pretty well. I quickly find a good angle for my wings to carry me. But when I meet the ground, I don’t quite know how to place my feet. Let alone that I am used to human feet with 5 toes and a heel, not bird feet with 3 talons in front and a 4th at the back. I land, stumble and fall.

Kiara instead lands softly behind me. She quickly reaches for me and when she touches me the [Glamer] on me disappears. I am back to being a human guy. Immediately after, she casts a different [Glamer] on me. Now I appear to be invisible.

“I am going to continue flying to make myself seem like I’m one of them.” Kiara says. “You make sure to keep your eye on me and keep up.”

And just like that, Kiara takes flight again. She flies close enough to the ground that I can easily see her, although she does move pretty fast. Kiara keeps this up for about half an hour until she lands and the shadows around her arms and legs disappear. Then the [Glamer] making me invisible ends and I become visible again.

I run up to Kiara and ask, “Kiara! What’s wrong?”

“I’m … tired.” Kiara says breathily. “Keeping that [Glamer] up … and my [Shadow Manipulation] … for such a long time … drained my mana.”

“How long do you need to rest?” I ask.

“Just a short time.” Kiara tells me. “After that, we keep heading north, toward the human kingdom.”

“It’s not safe that way!” We hear a female voice call out to us.

I reach for my sword, ready to protect Kiara and look where the voice came from. All I see is a small bundle of white feathers which is trying to hide behind a tree.

“Show yourself!” Kiara demands angrily.

The person carefully steps away from the tree and I immediately recognize her as Dove. The harpy who very apologetically **** me.

“If … if you go that way … you’ll come to a clearing.” Dove explains. “My people often send patrols over there. If you go that way, they will find you and bring you back.”

“Isn’t that what you want?!” Kiara accuses Dove.

Dove starts slowly walking towards us. She seems incredibly nervous and scared, but she does it anyways.

“When … when I returned to your room, I saw you were gone.” Dove explains. “I was so scared. I feared you might have fallen down the tree while you were trying to escape. I immediately flew down to see if I could save you, but I couldn’t find you anywhere. I figured you made it down safely and started heading to the human lands. That’s why I flew in this direction to tried and find you. Instead, I found a black harpy who flew weirdly close to the ground. I thought about asking her if she had seen you, but then she landed and her wings and legs changed. That’s when I hid. But then I heard your voice and so I looked.”

Throughout her explanation, Dove keeps walking closer to us with very small steps. At the end she is only a few steps away. She then looks at me as if I have hurt her and she asks, “Do you hate it here that much, Darx? Do you hate me too?”

Dove just looks so fragile. I can’t see how she could be any danger to us here. I remove my hand from my sword and talk calmly to Dove.

“I am not quick to hate, Dove.” I say. “Despite what you’ve done, you’ve apologized for it often so I’m sure you’re a kind person. But my place is not here. It’s in Riledo. I have a life there, with friends and family. If I stay with you, I will never see my mother again. I simply can’t give up on my whole life and all my goals, then live the kind of life others are ordering me to live.”

Dove looks dejected. I’m sure it can’t be easy for a girl to get dumped by a guy right after she got yourself pregnant with his children. But it’s not my fault! I kept telling her to stop. Tried my best not to shoot.

“That’s what I was worried about.” Dove tells me as she uses a wing to rub some tears out of her eyes. “You should go west from here.” Dove continues. “There is a dwarven village over there. The people there are kind so we sometimes go there for trade or when some of us want to have some fun, though mostly we leave them alone. They should help you get back home. It is still a while from here, so you might want to forage some food on the way there.”

I am quite surprised. I had expected Dove to send for her sisters and capture me again. Instead, she is giving me the chance to leave.

“You are very kind, Dove. Thank you.” I tell the shy harpy. Then I give Dove a kiss on her cheek.

Behind me, Kiara speaks up saying, “It’s time we leave.”

I then turn my back to Dove and Kiara and I start walking west. After a couple steps I look back and see Dove still standing there. She’s caressing her lower belly while watching me walk out of her life. When she sees me looking back, Dove raises one wing and waves at me. I instinctively raise my hand and wave back at her. Then Dove turns around and flies back home.

“You don’t believe her, right?” Kiara asks.

“What?”

“Harpies steal men. That’s what they do.” Kiara explains. “I’m quite sure Dove is sending us straight into a trap. I say we keep heading north.”

This whole time, Dove has been a lot more kind than I had expected. I have difficulty seeing her maliciously sending us into a trap. But Kiara is also right. Harpies need men for their society to function. Since they can’t produce men themselves, they are **** to steal men from other races. I have reasons to believe both women. Who should I listen to?

Which direction do I take?
