I don't understand

You stare at the small spider in disbelief, not sure what to make of it. "Am I supposed to keep it as a pet or something?" You ask, not sure how else to care for it.

Sotha Sil chuckles softly, "No, my dear. Arachno is going to be your protector. He will watch over you and make sure that you are safe."

You're not sure how comfortable you are with the idea of having a spider as your protector, but you trust that Sotha Sil knows what he's doing.

"Now, let me show you to your room and then you can get some rest." He placed a hand on your shoulder and allows the spider to crawl onto you then he leads you out of the workshop and takes you back to his chambers.

You glance down at the spider as you walk, finding him surprisingly cute despite the mass of eye-like cameras that kept their focus on you.

When you reach the chambers, Sotha Sil leads you to a large cage which you were surprised to have not noticed the last time.

You turn back to him but before you can speak he says "You are not crazy... I had this installed while we were in the workshop" he explained as he guided you inside.

You look around and are surprised by what you find, seeing that there is a small leather-bound notebook, a fancy quill, and a large expensive looking dog bed.

"I figured you might want something to keep you occupied while I'm working." Sotha Sil said as he moved the spider to the bed and left the cage, locking it behind him.

You sit down on the bed and look at the spider who is now crawling around exploring his new home. You are still not sure how you feel about everything that has happened but you are grateful to Sotha Sil for his kindness.
