Chapter 174 by AnQnomous AnQnomous

Are you having fun?

I don't know.

"What are the plans of the Three Lords."

Citrinas asked the question before I could even process the anger of the possibility of this monster's... release. It deserved to suffer for what it did, as far as I was concerned; it used me. It let that thing, Bose, near Zana.

I wanted it dead.

"Ooo, using their titles..." Halicarnassus dragged her finger across the barrier, pacing too and fro along the edge of her cell. "They have others, you know; Lord Naimad prefers 'The Three Fingers.'"

"Request. Now." I growl from between clenched teeth.

"Fiesty! Well, let's start slow." The Demi-Goddess reaches for her orange uniform, pulling the shirt over her head. "I can take off this ugly uniform."

The Grand-Succubus peels off her shorts, soon afterwards, pressing her pert, smaller breasts against the barrier; staring me down as she does so.

Citrinas sighs, rolling her eyes at the display. "And?"

The demon does much the same. "Fine... buzzkills."

"The Three have a few plans; their current plan involve either getting you and the other traitor back on board with their goals, or consuming you. After that, they will unify into one being. Our Messiah. The Fist of Justice. He will cast down the reign of ****, and bring new Life to our wretched world in a great sacrifice. No more Gods... No more Eternal War..."

Her hand hovers just below her stomach as she finishes her rantings.

"No more pointless, cruel, spiteful rules from on high..."

Finally, my anger from being in Haligcarnassus's presence was replaced with something far more familiar; confusion. Another traitor? Fist of Justice? And her hand...

"So that's what they offered you to betray Demon King Reala." Citrinas said; mostly to herself. "Odd, I would have thought your desires would be more... carnal."

"Oh shut it, Brain-Muncher!" The demon spat her words like venom; her hands clenched into fists the moment Citrinas finished speaking. "What would you know of my desires!? I was born of the Goddess of Hatred; and because of ****'s rules, I was compelled to want things I could never have. Love? Non-Existent in the Hells. Family? My own Mother was more likely to **** me than hug me! Life!? I was barren of it from the day I was conceived. Cursed to desire children of my own, that I could never have!"

Faint tears were forming in the Grand-Succubus's eyes, but they could not snuff our her defiant flame of faith. "No more. When the Fist falls, we will be saved... next question."

"Who is the other traitor?" I asked, Citrinas glaring at me as soon as I had; seems she wanted to know something else.

The caged demon thought on her request for a short period, then smiled maliciously; she wants payback, it seems. "Take off your gloves for the remainder of your questioning; no hiding your fingers, either."

The Chosen of Machae froze in place, eyeing me nervously. She slowly, agonizingly pulled off her strange gloves; the tips of her fingers still seemingly plain and human. I wondered what the Succubus was up to with this; odd tentacle fingers aren't exactly the strangest thing I've seen.

I elbow the barrier, snapping the prisoner's attention back to me. "Answer."

She sighs. "Oh, the other Traitor? Well, when the rest of the Dark Pantheon had found out about my Mother and Aunt's schemes, they decided they wanted a piece of the action as well. When those pieces of your soul returned from ****, stronger than before, they split them accordingly. Erunami and Sanket claimed Lord Urgog for his destructive potential. Tenekura and Zetra claimed Lord L0G for his intellectual capacity for scheming. My relatives chose Lord Naimad; the one most like their original choice for Chosen. Khalthosh... chose the last one. It was nothing short of insanity made manifest. When the Three casted away the Dark's Gods, it remained as the Mad-God's pet. I believe it was sent to kill an old rival of Khalthosh; that Demi-God of Wild-Magic, Chron... it hasn't been heard of since."

A shiver ran down my spine.

"Madness... has it's own body." I whisper under my breath; as I was about to ask another question, a pair of fingers pinch my lips.

Citrinas furrows her brow as she asks. "What is the current location of the Void-Born known as Jasper?"

I was once more confused; who?

"Looking for Mommy?" Asks Halicarnassus; who then began eyeing me up, and down. "I wonder... show me his cock; you can pull his pants back up afterward if you want. I just want to see if it's still so... perfect."

I can't even put on a confused look before I hear two words come from the Chosen. "Edict: Disrobe."

My pants? Gone. My pride? Nonexistent. My cock? Yep, it's still there; what a troublemaker.

"Daaamn! It got even bigger!" The demon lowers herself, trying to get a better look. "Is that a knot I see? Oh my, you dirty shapeshifter~"

"I... didn't choose to have it look like this!" I argue, looking over at the one who thrust this horrible situation upon me. "Trina, can I have my-"

The Chosen's face was red as could be, her fingers changing, wriggling and extending as her hips started swaying slightly; back and forth, back and forth.

"What? Oh, yes. Edict: Undo." With a flick her her hand, my pants appear back on my body; although, they're a good bit tighter than before. "Now, about Jasper."

"She's on Chronatoa." Citrinas shows nothing but dread at the answer; clenching her teeth as the prisoner continues. "I'll give you a freebie; since I know what you'll ask next. How do we know? Your little half-sister; Opal? She works for us. Nearly managed to catch Jasper in a trap so we could leverage her against you, but that brain-eating bitch is a smart one. Called in a favor with that Chron fellow I mentioned."

After Halicarnassus finished her smug diatribe, I was no longer the angriest person in the room. Looking as if she were seconds from snapping, Citrinas turned around, and motioned for me to ask a question.

"Edict: Domain."

*blip*

"Ooo, struck a nerve."

I was half tempted to try and tear down the barrier; just so I could smack that smug grin off this damned bitch. I stared at her with a searing, pure hatred. This thing needed to be put in it's place, and it's place was as a bloody smear on the floor. Whenever I looked at her, all I could see was that woman from my memories; Lilith. All I could imagine was Zana, pinned in the Arena. All I could hear was my own heart, pounding in my chest.

Thump. Thump. Thump.

The grin grew wider. "What? A bit miffed I chased off your date for the evening?"

"I. Will. Kill. You." Was all I could manage through gritted teeth.

"And never know why Ihsrom killed you?" Halicarnassus leaned against the barrier, as if she were having a relaxing afternoon with an old friend.

"To make a Chosen for the Dark." I reply, remembering my last meeting with ****. "The balance was upset by Tomoko and the others, he needed-"

"Nope."

My heart skips a beat. What did she mean, "Nope"!? She has to be baiting me into asking a question; her request will be something ridiculous. Ihsrom himself confirmed my theory; said I was needed for the Balance... Ishrom. The one who killed me to begin with. What if he confirmed my theory, in person... and I was wrong? I can possibly get an answer, here and now, with a guarantee that I'm not being lied to.

I have to know.

"Why did Ihsrom kill me?"

Her grin became a wide, toothy smile; the kind that made me think of that odd Cat from those earth stories Trixie spoke of. She licked her lips, and gave her request.

"Come closer."

My fists clenched, and I cautiously approached the barrier; readying myself for some sort of trick. But no trick came. I pressed my ear to the barrier, and the words were whispered into my ear for what felt like an eternity. I felt ice shoot through my veins at her words, and my guts tighten. An answer that I could have never expected. An answer that made no sense. An answer that made me feel a familiar urge; to find shears, and cut this damned, crimson hair.

I backed away from the barrier in a stagger, just as I heard a familiar *blip* just to my left.

Halicarnassus laughed madly as I tried to get back to my feet; only to feel nothing as if there was nothing but jelly beneath my knees.

"What did she do!?" Citrinas knelt over me, trying to see what was wrong.

Everything was wrong. My mind was refusing the information. My body was refusing to go on. My soul, shattered as it was... knew the truth. How else could I survive the crash? How else could a shattered soul carry so much power across five bodies? How else could I have hurt Mortigan in that dream? The words bounced around in my head, over, and over, and over.

"Ihsrom found the Hole in Heaven a quarter of a millenia ago; and through this hole, he saw an Infinite expanse of worlds. Worlds not bound by the rules set by his ancestors. Worlds that only someone of his level of power could ever hope to explore... so he did. The first world he found, Earth, was wonderful. With his powers, he could look like anyone; do anything... without consequence. After an eternity bound to do nothing but sit back and watch the world unfold, he finally felt free. He finally felt powerful. He even met a woman he took quite the liking too, despite her being happily married. He hadn't sired an offspring at this point, and doubted that it would truly matter if he did so in this new world; its not as if it affected the Pantheon in any way... so he seduced the woman, and laid with her; erasing her memory the next day. On Earth, only a year passes for ten of our own. On Earth, deep, crimson red is not a natural hair color; something Ihsrom did not know. On Earth... a father beget a son; when he should have beget a daughter.

Only a **** can kill a ****, O' Shard of Damian Walker."

There are no coincidences, my son.
