Hunting time

Using the data from trackers and scouts, Sam had thorough data on the zone, finding out that one of the goblin nests surrounding the goblin women had a very narrow approach. It was fitting that Sam would get to flex his only talent, his ornamental swordsmanship.

Entering this goblin nest, it was filled with goblin spearmen and slingshot goblins.

As part of his training, Sam developed an unbeatable style against any other knight, regardless of size or power, revolving around precision takedowns that happened within three seconds, but left his back open for sneak attacks. As long as someone used a sword, a pre-requisite for these honour duels, Sam could take them down one-on-one, so long as they didn't use dirty tricks like dirt in the eyes. However, one of the reasons he couldn't use this as an adventurer was that most monsters were unarmed or came with friends, all of whom fought dirty or wildly.

In this tight and narrow cave, there were a few hidden around and guarding, but Sam brought a special shield that extended into a vertical wall, stopping the goblins from following him after he entered. When inside, the goblins were **** to fight Sam one-on-one, and even when throwing projectiles simultaneously, a permitted trick in honour duels, Sam could deal with them all.

Once he was through, Sam grabbed his shield and retreated, turning back on the goblins pouring in, finishing off the nest. Sadly, Sam's victory was short-lived as other goblins began swarming, requiring him to run to the female goblin nest, which was being blocked using shaman magic to stop them from noticing lapses in the perimeter.

As Sam entered, the six female goblins were using captured and dismembered males to cloak their numbers from the other nests, periodically killing goblins to continue feeding their nest, giving off the impression their horde was slowly dying and weakening, when in reality, they were dealing with wastes and buying time. The female goblins were given a bad hand and shit equipment, forcing their sisterhoods to scatter, leaving this nest with horrible circumstances, which required them to turn on their lecherous race of male perverts. The male goblins were planning to use the female goblins to make stronger goblins from the start, since goblins made by female goblins were inherently stronger from birth. Even without that factor, they'd still be betrayed for their wombs, and not because they were also better than most goblins, even with their worst females.

When Sam arrived, the women were almost glad, imagining a release from this hell was nigh, only to see Sam lunge past them, getting inside the nest, making the other goblin nests back off. The other nests could still sense around 150 goblins inside, so none of the nests were in a rush to enter, and they weren't about to share the burden due to their selfish natures.

In the meantime, Sam was safe, at least from the others, as for these six, that was another story.
