Hunt the vampire

Cora, Sambita and Cerebia went into the forest with about seven other students.

"Everybody better stay out of my way." said Cerebia.

Cora noticed that the other girls in her team were a blue cowgirl, a gold fox girl, a blue goat girl (a lighter shade than the cowgirl), an orange pig girl, a purple lion girl and a red bull girl.

"I am the one in charge of this operation." said the lion girl.

"Why did we have to get the vampire? Zombies are way easier." complained the goat girl.

"Screw you guys, I'm taking this vampire myself." said Cerebia.

Cerebia ran off on her own. The rest of the group searched the forest for the vampire.

"Where'd the bull girl go?" asked Cora.

"She went off on her own." said Sambita.

The group found the bull girl dead.

"The vampire drank all her blood. Wait, no, there's still a little bit left." said Sambita.

"Is she going to be okay?" asked Cora.

Suddenly, Cerebia appeared.

"She'll be fine." she said.

Cora noticed that the rest of her group disappeared.

"Where'd everybody else go?" she asked.

"They must have just left you here. They obviously think they can take this vampire themselves." said Cerebia.

"Could they?"

"They're already dead."

"But this is just a class exercise."

"Where I grew up, failure meant ****."

"Well, it looks like we're on our own." said Sambita.

"Wait, both dogs and sharks can smell blood, right? Couldn't you both do the same thing?" asked Cora.

"I have a better idea. I'll use my nose to sniff the vampire out." said Cerebia.

"That's what I said."

"But I can do it better than Sambita because I already sniffed the vampire and the zombie before they were released into the forest."

Cora and Sambita followed behind Cerebia as she tracked the vampire's scent. Eventually, the three reached a cave in the forest. Inside they found the rest of their group ****.

"Why hasn't the vampire killed them?" asked Sambita.

"Probably saving them for a midnight snack." said Cerebia.

"Shouldn't she be trying to get as far away from here as possible?" asked Cora.

"You're right, something doesn't add up." said Sambita.

"She probably just wants to wait until nightfall when she doesn't have to worry about the sun." said Cerebia.

"But its not burned her anyway."

"Actually, it was cloudy when when she was released and the trees in this forest are blocking out the sun. She probably wants a guarantee that she'll be safe when she tries to make her escape." said Cora.

As they went further into the cave, the vampire attacked them.

"I shall feast on your blood!" she said.

"Feast on this!" said Cerebia.

Cerebia attempted to bite the vampire.

"Are you trying to drink my blood?" asked the vampire, amused.

Suddenly, a green energy began to glow round Cerebia.

"Fuck you, I am a direct-"

The vampire pinned Cerebia down and sank her fangs into her neck. Cora ran behind the vampire and stabbed her in the back with her claws.

"Congratulations, you win." said the vampire.

"What?" said Cora.

"This whole thing was just a test. The zombie and I are just actors that Chiron hired. You were never in any real danger. Had I not been wearing body armour, that claw attacked should have pierced my heart, turning me to ash."

"Are you kidding me?" said Cerebia.
