Chapter 5 by LoC
The next night...
Hunger
Dove wakes up in a sleeping bag at 7:55 at night. She has had to sleep in the basement because its the only room in the house without a window. Upon leaving the basement she goes into the pantry in the kitchen. The pantry is very normal, just two large shelves to the left and right that have many non perishables on them, cans, rice, ect.
The wall at the back of the room however, was completely barren. Dove walked up to this wall, and then right through it. It was a false wall, to hide the rest of the pantry, filled with many strange ingredients, elixers, and animal parts on shelves or a workshop table. In the corner of this room, there is a mini fridge in which is different kinds of animal blood. Dove grabs a pig blood bag and starts walking to the kitchen.
Jarren is watching TV in the living room when Dove walks in with a hydro flask, probably filled with blood. "You better wash that before you go back to sleep."
"I will, I will. So, are we going to plan tonight?"
"Yep," Jarren turns off the TV and takes out his phone, on which he pulls up a map of the city. Dove sits down next to him on the couch. "First and foremost, one, what is the name of this group or gang, and two, where do they gather?"
"The name of their group is the Autar. I don't know where they gather but I lnow where some of them feed."
"What the fuck is a Autar?"
"Its some word in a old language that we vampires made during the time of Great Hunt. Younger vamps like me aren't taught it."
"Ok, then-" Jarren is cut short by his phone going off. An unknown number called him. He ignores it and goes to talk again but the same number calls once more. He accepts the call and puts it on speaker, while putting a finger to his lips and looks at Dove.
"Hello, I assume this is Jarren Oscas?" His voice was smooth, professional. You could practically hear his silver tongue.
"You are correct."
"Wonderful. You see, I'm calling about the favor your sister did for us. Considering you speak with us now I assume you are...like your sister?"
"Yes. What is this about?"
"Well, you see, I wish to know the same thing. Imagine my surprise when I find out the house we delivered the...reward to, was not hers but her brothers. And that she herself had left the state."
"She owed me a debt and had done this job to pay me back, she gave you my address so the reward would come to me."
"Ah, I might have guessed. Well I assume you are taking the necessary precautions with the reward. I do apologize but I must be absolutely clear here. I. Don't. Want. It. Back. Besides, it would be a shame to lose such a precious thing wouldn't it?"
Dove literally hears Jarren's heartbeat become faster. "Understood."
"Wonderful. Now, may I see it? The reward that is."
"Yeah, just give me a second. I'm not in the same room." Jarren turns off speaker, grabs Doves hand and quickly walks towards the pantry. He walks through the illusion wall without hesitation and lets go of Dove's hand. He takes out a marker from his pocket and writes down a symbol on the wall.
He looks at Dove for a few seconds, as if examining her and turns back to the wall. Suddenly, the air shimmers like a heat mirage and a illusion of Dove forms on the wall. Illusion Dove is wearing what she wore the first time she was here, that being, just white panties. Her long black hair conveniently covering her nipples (Not that he could make them anyway, he never actually saw them). Real Dove had some color return to her unaturally pale face, to her, this was blushing. Illusion Dove's arms and legs were merged with the stone wall, as if it was built with her inside of it. A cloth gag filled fake Dove's mouth showing off her 4 fangs on the top of her mouth. Her face contorted in anger.
Jarren turned on face time and switched the camera to show the caller Illusion Dove. "Well, its nice to see you again Dove. Tell me how has been your treatment so far?" He asked sarcastically. Illusion Dove lets out some muffled curses at the man. He chuckles to himself.
"Turn the camera."
Real Dove immediately gets out of sight and Jarren switches the camera view. The man Jarren was looking at was wearing a suit and was in an small office of some kind, not that impressive really.
"I am thoroughly impressed. If you are anything like your sister and I need some magical assistance in the future, I will be sure to call you first Mr. Oscas. Oh, and one last thing, if we meet again, refer to me as Count Sivas." And the call ends.
"Well, I guess I don't need to tell you what their boss is like."
After calming down.
