“Oh.”

“That's it?” That was all the Hero had to say about Luire getting taken in by the orc, and the mages as well. All of the things happening right under his nose and that was all he had to say about it.

“Well, let me know if anything else happens.” He added in a passionless tone. He did not seem interested at all. As soon as he deemed the issue addressed he returned to his tent where his lover was waiting for him. Jeane was dumbfounded.

“This is ridiculous...” Jean muttered. The Hero did not seem to care at all. He was so wrapped up in his romance with the princess that he did not care about Malik misbehaving. It felt like he was given license to do whatever he pleased. With the Hero not willing to do anything the only other person Jeane could talk to was the fox. For all her faults, Jeane thought, Kara should at least be able to communicate with the Hero, or keep an orc in check.
