Chapter 4 by FloweryWriter FloweryWriter

What family/house do you belong to?

House of the Silverward

The House of the Silverward... A noble house that started out with a humble beginning. Before it was a noble family it was something else something that luckily the long passage of time haven't erased.

Your ancestors was originally blacksmith in a local city port, not much is said and most information about the place is lost due the long time that pass but the details that remain is that they are meek but respected laborers who worked hard day and night in the bearing heat of the forge while creating works of metal, from blades of war to simple ones like kitchen knives to those of exploration.

Until one day your forebearers had an unexpected client, while your ancestors was blacksmith the King's forefather was a warrior who depending on whom you ask is either a warrior for hire or a soldier of the state there he requested the finest sword the blacksmiths could make.

And thus the blacksmith toiled in the furnace he melted ores of multiple metal purifying it until all the impurities are removed or so the tale have said, bashed it with the hammer until the blade formed and sharpened with dedication until it becomes a sword suitable for even a king. How long it took was never clear but in the end the blade was done. The truth on why your ancestor was so keen on taking up the task and so determined on completing it, especially to a total stranger, is left to the mystery of the past. Some jest that the ancestor of the king threatened them with ****, while other noble houses speculate that maybe the soldier promised them a huge amount of gold or as other bards in the taverns sing, the blacksmith felt a premonition of that man's greatness, that simple man of yesteryear will eventually became an outstanding one and thus they crafted the best sword they can make.

Whatever reason is in the end their client got what he wanted and made a promise that he will return once his mission is done.

And so he did as history dictates, the man won the war and quickly climbed the ladder in the military, and then he returned to the city port now wearing a decorated attire and another request.

A request that the blacksmith becomes his personal craftsman, one that will create the best of weapons for him and the royal family, the blacksmith agreed and thus the House of Silverward came to be.
