Cherchiel moves away from Yulia again and approaches the Sirens, "alright boys and girls if you want to remain alive, it's time for you to answer some questions," she says.

"Ask away, you've got us, we don't have much choice," one of the Sirens responds.

"Oh smart. Firstly, what's beyond here?" Cherchiel asks.

"This is the path that leads to the River Bed, it's where we Sirens live," she answers.

"Alright... What about the other paths?" Cherchiel asks.

"The gate goes to the Sahuagin's Sunken City and the Ruins go to the Mermaid's Deep Stronghold," The Siren answers.

"What about the dark cavernous opening?" Cherchiel presses.

"The Ocean's Rest. A terrible monster lurks there, we don't go there, but... I guess if you're the Chosen... It's where you need to go..." she explains.

"Tell me more about this terrible monster?" Cherchiel suggests.

"It's called the Leviathan... It was once Queen Levateinn's pet, but after her demonic ascension it mutated... It's giant and carnivorous. A massive whale that devours anything it sees," she explains.

"Thank you," Cherchiel says and the Siren nods.

"So... You are aware of the situation in regards to the war, right?" Isalia asks.

"Yes... The Sahuagin have gained an advantage. Somehow they have acquired a number of deadly weapons from the salesman. Ourselves and the Mermaids have both hunkered down ready for a siege. Having parties exploring outside our territories is too dangerous now," she answers and all four Sirens look scared as she speaks about it.

"Do you think you can withstand a siege?" Isalia asks and the Sirens hesitate and then the woman who had been answering so far sighs.

"No... At best we could hold them off for about a day, but there's no way we could stand against them with those weapons. The weapons we've gathered will of course help, but there's no way we won't be eventually overwhelmed, not unless we were able to somehow steal or nullify their weapons or if their king died," she answers honestly.

"Killing the King would help?" Yulia asks suddenly.

"Yes... None of us are certain why, but the salesman informed us that our leader is required to power the weapons. If The Sahuagin king was to die according to the salesman all the Sahuagin's weapons would cease to function," the siren answers, "the same being true for our queen and the Mermaid's 'goddess'" the Siren responds.

"If someone was to say... Kill the Sahuagin King... What would you be willing to pay for that?" Yulia asks.

"If you're offering... I imagine we'd give anything to them. Our Queen would likely even offer them our greatest treasure," she says and there's a glint in her eye, it's clear she's realized the implied offer.

"Which is?" Cherchiel asks.

"When Queen Levateinn was exiled her home was plundered, each of the current leaders took something of great value from there. We Sirens took her royal cloak. A magic imbued vestment, now worn by our own queen. It's exact powers are unknown, but we have seen it turn aside projectiles and even dispel magic attacks," she explains.

"So... if say we were to kill The Sahuagin King... We'd get Levateinn's cloak?" Yulia asks.

"Perhaps... If you were to kill the Sahuagin King and the Mermaid's Goddess, you would definitely be rewarded with the cloak," she explains.

Goma whispers something to Yulia and Yulia listens and then nods, "I will confer with my friends," she says and turns away, facing Goma, Cherchiel and Isalia seem momentarily confused, but move to see what's up.

At that moment one of the male Sirens goes rigid and then grabs one of the spear guns as the other Sirens seem alarmed by the sudden action. He loads and raises the speargun as Yulia turns and quickly fires off an Icicle. The Icicle hits him in the throat and he collapses, dropping the spear gun and Yulia shudders slightly with a mixture of revulsion and pleasure as her bloodthirst is sated.

"That felt... wrong..." Goma mutters and Yulia subtly nods in agreement.

The Sirens all look sadly at their dead companion, "I... I'm sorry. I don't know what came over him. This hasn't... soured our potential agreement has it?" the female Siren asks and Yulia shakes her head.

"We have not decided anything yet, but we will not hold this lapse of judgment against the rest of you," she says.
