Home sweet home

After saying your goodbyes, you gather with Maya, Uzume, and Sadie to transport home. With a flash of green, the four of you appear in the living room of your castle, startling a relaxing Kali. Once she realizes what happened, she leaps to her feet and gives you a hug. “You’re back, and safe!”

You smile. “Of course. Successfully, as well.”

Maya grins and nudges Kali. “No love for the rest of us?”

Kali laughs, turning and hugging Maya. “Sorry, you know how we worry. Your babies are napping now, they’re such darlings!”

Maya smiles. “I can’t wait until they meet yours, and all the rest!”

Kali nods, looking back to you. “That reminds me. Josh, Samara and I want to talk to you when you get some spare time.”

You nod, and Sadie laughs. “Oooh, Samara wants a baby!”

Kali smiles. “It’s not my place to share that sort of thing.”

Uzume chuckles. “That means yes. More babies for auntie Uzume!”

Everyone laughs, and the noise draws in the rest of the girls. Greetings and happiness surrounds you, and you once again are amazed at how happy everyone is together. The afternoon goes swiftly, and before long everyone is back to normalcy.

That evening, you make your way towards your bedroom, but find it occupied upon entering. Standing at the window is Bast, with his back to you as he looks out. You sigh. “You know, normally my visitors in the bedroom are much more welcome than you are. No offense, but you’re not really my type.”

Turning around, Bast smiles. “And I’m not planning on engaging in your normal bedroom activities. Josh, it’s time we had a chat.”

He waves a hand, and a table and chairs appear. Taking a seat, he gestures for you to do the same. When you do, he nods.
