"Oh man! This sandwich is fantastic!"

Dave nodded agreeing with Harley. "Give me another bite of mine?"

She fed him another bite of his bacon egg and cheese sandwich as he drove them to work. "You know, I gotta hand it to you. Mel was a brilliant pick. Cute, sexy, smart, hard worker and a talent for cooking!" She took another big bite of her breakfast.

Dave smiled swallowing. "And most importantly of all... she can get along with oddballs like us with a good attitude!"

Harleen nodded chewing happily and feeding him another bite as she swallowed. "And she's very different and unique from the rest of our group as well... while still being somewhat familiar, hmmm?"

Dave sighed. "They're not alike, dammit! Neither Mel, Dorothy or Mom are so can you please just drop it, Harls?"

Harleen shrugged. "They have similarities. Certain robotic ticks in behavior. Especially Dorothy who's an amazing combatant in her own right Especially with the upgrades we got her. Then there's Mel. Her and Penny's personalities maybe very different but their general extremely pleasant attitudes and caring natures are very similar. They have similar "hearts". We all loved the ranch in a way. It was... special. Your mom is a big reason why "Home" worked. Tink and I know. For lack of a better term, Mel will be our cornerstone to build a similar kind of "home" around her."

Dave gritted his teeth. "We're not "using" her for anything."

Harleen blinked. "Uh, yes we are. It's not the best term to describe it but essentially that's what every living thing does to a certain **** basic level. That doesn't mean that the feelings and emotions aren't valid. Doesn't mean we don't love, Mel because we do. You heard me and Tink last night. We accept her as one of us because we love her like you do... and in similar way that you do. She's special. They all are. We want for her and the others what you do. A loving "home"we can build and share together. It'll be a bit different of course but different is good."

Dave sighed. "You really are..."

Harleen smiled. 'Good at what I do?"

Dave nodded then shook his head. "That too but you are also the best. You and Tink. Top shelf. Aces all the way. I... I couldn't do this without you. I'm so lucky that you stick by me. I love you, Harls."

She smiled happily. "We feel the same way! I love you too. Now eat up!" She fed him another bite. "We got a lot of things to do this morning on our "half" workday! Especially if we want to get home to greet Dorothy on time!"

Dave nodded and drove a little faster. He seriously doubted there'd be a repeat of yesterday with Dorothy but that didn't matter. It was important to be there to greet her properly!

"... and then I'll put the roast in."

(("Understood Melfina. I shall inform you when it's time to start. I'm sorry the kitchen is not updated yet. Once the work people do that I'll be able to assist more with things."))

Melfina smiled. "It's fine Pepper. I appreciate all the help you've already given me! Where are the others?"

(("Tink is with Hilda in the media room area. They're trying to decide what Hilda's "role" will be while they wait for you."))

Melfina nodded taking off her apron. "Thank you!" She hustled over towards the media room.

"...No, I don't think that'll be a good fit either." Hilda said. "Just because I know castles doesn't mean I should be the head housekeeper of one. It sounds like this Dorothy is already far more suited to that role. Though I don't mind trying."

Tink nodded. "Yeah I agree with that. Unless things change we'll have three "maids" with Mel and Dave as our "cooks". Oh maybe you should consider being our chatelaine? Oh good timing Mel!"

"Sorry if I kept you waiting long," she said. "Hows it going?"

Hilda shook her head. "I haven't found something yet to do we're still looking, I'm afraid."

Tink shrugged. "You'll find something that you want to do eventually. There's no need to rush into something."

Hilda blinks. "But the rules say to help out with either work or home. I don't want to be a burden either."

Tink smiled. "Yes but we leave it nonspecific for that reason. Finding a good fit and something you like doing is more important than what you contribute. And you do help out. You checked with the gaurds, helped me wake those two and then helped us see them off and clean up in the kitchen. They might be small things but you did them. That's helping out too. Just keep helping where you can until we figure out what will suit you. Anyway now that Melfina's here lets look at ordering you two your varient outfits."

Tink has them help her setup the holoprojector while she logs in. "Pepper you already have Dorothy's info as well as everyone elses. Can you order all her variant outfits please?"

(("Done, Tink. Shall I have them sent with her? There's a small add on fee."))

"That's fine. Do that." Tink shrugged "Not a lot of variety there but it's a start. We'll have to wait and get the others fitted when they're done as their sizes may change. Actually go ahead and add Melfina's alternate costumes, like the ending one and her pajamas and the swimsuit and then any of the Hilda DLC variant costumes from the Zelda games. There's what...two? Three?"

(("You were correct there are two. They're both Zelda recolors."))

"Add them," she said nodding and glancing at the screen. "Well... it's a start." She starts stripping to show the ladies how it works and because it's easier that way. "So first you wanna take off your clothes like this. For some stuff you don't need to strip all the way but generally speaking the less you wear, the better it works. So naked for under and swimwear and anything you wouldn't normally wear much underneath like skin tight stuff. Undearwear for everything else if you like. Like so." Tink models the technology on herself showing them herself in a bikini, a suit and tie and then a ballgown.

"Wow," said Melfina. "I know I said it before but you have a great figure Tink! You look wonderful!"

Hilda nods disrobing. "She's quite correct! As lovely a fairy as any I've ever seen."

Tink actually blushed. "You guys are too nice... and you're just as beautiful. Ok we will start with you Hilda. We'll have you wear each of Zelda's outfits in your sizes and then well start customizing colors and designs so they'll be distinctly "yours". Then we'll move on to trying on a few basic type outfits and then take a break until Dorothy arrives and pick it back up from there!"

"Oh!" "I see!"

Dave blushed at being scrutinized by the two Midna's. "I'm sorry we didn't get a chance to meet yesterday, Princesses. I'm-"

"Our "Young Hero"," Imp Midna said floating around him stroking her chin grinning. "Yes. I see!"

Meanwhile Twili Midna smiles. "Careful Impish me. He's also our owner that Dr Quinzel spoke of. It's very nice to meet you, David." Her smile was a little less playful than her imp counterparts... but that didn't say much. "We heard a fair few interesting things about you."

Dave blushed but smiled back. "Yes, so I heard."

Imp Midna grinned mischievously. "We heard that "we", followed by a certain "bad" Zelda called Hilda, are your favorite from the franchise. How we met before. Did you like being my servant so much that now you want to reverse our roles, hmmmm?" She teased. "Very flattering."

Twili Midna shakes her head. "Forgive her cheeky behavior-!"

Dave had grabbed Imp Midna startling her but hugged her. "I... I really had so much fun with you. So you're not wrong."

Imp Midna recovers from her shock and actually smiled and embraced him back. "There, there Wolf boy. That actually makes me happy." She teasingly grinned at her otherself. "It makes her happy too!"

Twili Midna steps closer and she's smiling. "Did you really try to jump into the Shadow realm after us as a youngster?"

Harleen took off her glasses and laughed. Harley had been looking forward to this! "Want to see?" She asked pulling out her phone.

Dave's eyes got wide. "You wouldn't-"

Harley grinned. "They'd see it later if they searched the "home movies" anyway! Pepper display and play the video clip I marked yesterday!"

"Oh gawd!" Dave said already mortified.

A home movie plays of the end of the Twilight Princesses vacation. Princess Midna's farewell and heading through to the Twilight Realm forever. A boy rushing after her in a "Link" outfit but black and greys instead of greens and browns diving for the mirror gate as a pair of older men tackle him to the ground. The kid, who has Dave's hair, tearfully crying out to Midna to wait for him as he fights his captors who appear to be twins. The one with the scar finally just sitting on him to put an end to the wild struggle... which proved to be a mistake as they kid howls and savagely bites into his leg like a ferocious animal with tears in his eyes. The other twin laughing at his brother too hard to help him saying something 'at least he's quiet now!'. Midna's final teary eyed goodbye as she leaves and the portal closes. The kid finally letting go only to howl like a wolf.

Dave's so utterly embaressed he can't say anything. Until the other Midna starts hugging him too. "I'm sorry... it seems familiar but I don't remember it. But that was-"

"Pathetic," Dave said. "I was a dumb kid-"

"Beautiful," Midna says. "I'm sorry. I wish I did remember that. I'd treasure it always." She looks at the screen were he's actually finished imploring Zelda to use the power of the Triforce and do something to help Midna and when she claims to be powerless he storms past her in furiously, bitter disgust ripping off the "Link" hat.

Harley pauses it right there. "It really is a great video! That look you had on your face right there! Gave me the shivers and made me so wet! Villain or antihero face right there! I used to masturb-"

"TMI, Harls," he said hugging the Midnas. "Read the room."

Harley shrugged and nodded picking up her glasses and pitting them back on. "Anyway the Meltdown for Hilda was bad where he punched out Ruvio and told him he didn't deserve her but this one... chilling. We stopped attending Zelda vacations for many years and Dave stopped playing the games or collecting the merch for a long-time."

Dave nodded. "I was a pain in the ass about it... but it felt like the series I'd loved for so long had gone out of its way to give something beautiful only to yank it away a second time with another slap in the face for a reward. I was... so angry. But most of all I was ashamed. I couldn't "save" you. You deserved better endings. I'm sorry."

The Midna's smile at each other and then him. "And that's what you want now?" Imp Midna asked. "To give us the "better" ending you think we deserve?" Twili Midna asked.

"Well... yes," Dave said simply.

Both Midna's nodded and said, "Then what are we waiting for, "Hero"?"

Dave nodded too. "Right!"

Harkey did as well. "Ladies if you'll follow us this way please..."
