The woman escorted the fractured Hekate back to her home, opening the door and helping her into the sitting room where Fidelisa and Alexis were enjoying a light snack.

Seeing the strong, confident demoness being helped in covered in blood and gore, Alexis leaped up about to call out but froze the words lost in her gaping mouth, not sure what she could say, and what could she do to help her mother.

Fidelisa rose to her feet as well hurrying over to Hekate’s side opposite of the hand maiden, “What happened? Are you hurt? Whose blood is this?”

Hekate just shook her head, “I’m fine it’s just been a long day. I had to visit the Mortal Realm for an emergency. I just need a shower and some rest.”

The hand maiden handed her off to Fidelisa, “Thank you, Mistress Fidelisa, I should get back to the Cathedral.”

That is when Hekate grabbed her wrist, “Wait a minute,” Reaching to take a pouch from her belt, and offer it to the young woman. “I forgot to give this to father, it is the souls of the Ramirez and their attackers.”

The girl blinked taking the pouch, “I will take them back at once, Mistress Hekate.”

Fidelisa wrapped a arm around her waist, “Let’s get you to a shower dear.” Leading her towards the bathroom.

Alexis could only watch, her mentor was so confident and able to know exactly what to do and she, she froze, what good is she to anyone like this. Her hands balling up as she stared at the door through which the women had exited.

Just then she felt a hand on her shoulder, “They are truly amazing, Mistress Hekate and Lady Fidelisa, you are so lucky to have them, Miss.” Surprise in her eyes as she had forgotten the hand maiden was still in the room. The young squeezed her shoulder, “I promise you, it will be okay.” Then letting her go as she slowly made her way to the front door of the home to allow herself out.
