Chapter 16

How does she escape?

Hog Wild

Samantha kept her eyes peeled for any and all signs of that little nudist prankster. That boat stunt almost got her fired, if not killed, and she couldn't risk another -

The woman felt a **** hit her from behind, almost knocking her over. Samantha Evans looked over her shoulder just in time to see Lilly run from one side of the trail to the other.

"Hey!" Samantha called out to her.

"What is it now, Evans?" Myers asked in annoyance as Mackenzie stared at her in confusion.

"Oh, I was just -"

SQUEAL!

The three women looked to the left as a large, feral hog charged through the underbrush, squealing as it laid eyes on the three humans on the trail.

"Run!" Evans screamed as she and Myers made a run for a tree.

Mackenzie, on the other hand, merely backed away slowly as the creature prepared to charge. The eighteen year old reached for her bag and felt around, looking for her pepper spray... But feeling nothing.

"Oh, don't tell me that I left it at the -" Mackenzie squeaked, looking back at the hog as it let out another squeal and charged.

The girl screamed as she ran, the hog running after her. Mackenzie ran through a rather large bush, the hog following in as the sound of leaves rustling and fabric ripping. Evans and Myers could only gasp in fear at this, fearing the worst.

Until Mackenzie ran out of the other side of the bush, small scrapes and scratches from the thorns being the only damages to her skin. The same, however, couldn't be said about her clothes, as the girl was left standing in just her hiking boots and backpack.

Mackenzie squeaked as she slapped her hands over her small breasts, her face blazing. However, the young woman was once again screaming and running as the hog charged forward again. As she was running, Mackenzie tripped and fell into Lilly's trap: A hole in the ground that was covered in leaves, causing the young woman to fall into it with a yelp.

As the hog came to the edge of the hole, it screeched to a halt just as Mackenzie's loud scream echoed through the forest, accompanied by a series of soft hisses.

The hog sniffed the hole a few times, recoiled, and ran away squealing just as Maria Adkins came walking down the trail. The woman yelped as she jumped out of the way before the hog ran into the forest again. Taken by surprise, the woman turned around to see Myers and Evans climbing down from the tree.

"What happened now?!" Adkins snapped at Evans.

"We were attacked by a hog! It was..." Evans began, only to trail off. She couldn't say whose fault this really was! She'd lose her job in a heartbeat! Sighing, the woman said, "It was my fault, Maria. I accidentally startled it, and it chased poor Macken-" she gasped, "Mackenzie! Oh good heavens! Is she alright?!"

As if to answer Evans' question, Mackenzie let out a groan in the hole she was in, causing the three older women to look in that direction. Suddenly, ten or twelve skunks popped out of the hole and ran off into the forest. After they left, a hand shakily grabbed the edge of the hole, followed by another as a very naked, very smelly Mackenzie climbed out, coughing as she stood in front of the three woman.

"I'm fine, Ms. Evans." Mackenzie said, removing the backpack and placing it in front of her body. "A little frazzled, but fine. Now, if you'll please excuse me," she walked slowly past the three women who couldn't help but cough at the smell, "I'm going to go to Nurse Winston's office for some bandages and a tomato bath. I'll put my resignation letter on your desk later, Ms. Adkins. Good day."

"Mackenzie - "

"I SAID GOOD DAY!" The naked and stinky Mackenzie snapped, looking over her shoulder before marching back to camp.

"Hmmm..." Myers said as she jotted somethings down on her clipboard. "An incompetent canoeing instructor and a wildlife instructor who's ready to quit the position at the first time things go wrong. If my daughter wasn't hired, I would question your hiring methods, Adkins."

"Ms. Myers, let's be fair now!" Samantha argued, "The poor girl got chased around by a hog, stripped by a thorn bush, fell into a hole, and got sprayed by skunks in the span of less than an hour. Anyone would want to quit after that!"

"Well," Myers said, ignoring Evans completely, "let's hope that this archery instructor does better. Katelyn, was it?"

"Katherine, actually." Adkins corrected.

"Whatever. Evans, let's get a move on!" Myers said as she headed off.

"Where did the skunk hole come from? And don't you dare tell me what I think you're going to tell me!" Adkins snapped under her breath.

"That, I don't know." Evans responded. She had an idea, but with her job on the line, she wasn't going to say it.

"Evans! Now!"

"Thin. Ice." Adkins whispered harshly as Evans quickly ran after Myers. Maria rolled her eyes and sighed as she looked around, taking note of the wildlife and the naked blonde running after the two women alongside a couple of butterflies.

Wait what?!

Maria did a double take to her right, rubbing her eyes to see that, where she thought she saw a naked, blonde young woman, she saw nothing but moving foliage.

"It's the stress." Maria told herself as she walked back to her cabin, "I'm so stressed for this inspection to go right that I'm seeing things."

How does Archery go?
