Early Days

Dwelling Grounds: The tribal lands. That part of the lands that a tribe claims to for the gathering of their resources. Rare resources that are typical for a certain Dwelling Ground can be bartered for at the annual gathering of the tribes. A Dwelling Ground consists of a centre with habitations for the members of the tribe and hunting grounds surrounding it. This habitation can be anything depending on the geography of the specific piece of land. So plains with few trees and lots of prey especially bison and like will tend to have tent-like habitation made of skin while regions with lots of trees will likely have log cabin-like habitation and places with lots of large natural caverns will likely have cave dwellings.

Ancient Times

Eligerum: Here the feralis junior are tutored for a year and learn techniques and know-how needed for their role in society as feralis aegis or feralis domesticus. During the course of this year they will have the chance to show to future Pater or Domus what they have learned. After this year they'll earn the suffix of aegis or domesticus behind their name. At this point they also become available for adoption by an interested Pater or Domus. Provided the adopter qualify and proves he/she has the means to take one on. Usually aegis are selected by the Pater and domesticus by the Domus but this is not a rule that is set in stone.
At the first Lupus days after Dies Feralis the annual adoption days are held where interested Pater or Domus can meet the fresh batch of feralis aegis and feralis domesticus and adopt them. Feralis aegis or feralis domesticus that have not found a Pater or Domus can stay at Eligerum and help with the new feralis junior.
This is also the first semblance of what we nowadays call a pet-center.

Forum Feralis : Town square, the central square of the city bordered by important buildings such as the temple, the urbetum and the amphitheatre. Doubles also as a marketplace with all kinds of stalls except at Dies Aurora during the Aurora Games when the Eligerum holds a fair and competition at the amphitheatre.

Forum Lupus: Named after the Lupus Stadium bordering it together with Eligerum and Gymnasium. A square where feralis minor and feralis junior casually meet.

Also the first semblance of the modern-day campus.

Gymnasium: Here the feralis junior are tutored during a year and learn everything they need to know for their role in society as Pater feralis or Domus feralis. After this year they'll earn the title of Pater or Domus before their name. Although they have the right to use it is has become common practice to use the full title only for formal greetings or at formal events. And they also get the right to adopt a feralis aegis or feralis domesticus provided they can take care of them ... have habitations, can afford the upkeep, etc.
This is also the first semblance of the modern-day college.

Insula and domus All those who aren't responsible for a public building like a temple, eligerum or gymnasium and aren't granted living quarters in these buildings live in either an insula or a domus. Insula are apartment-like blocks with living quarters for singles and spaces for commercial activities at ground-level or in a stand-alone domus a family residence consisting of several rooms around an atrium. Hence the title of Domus for the head of the household.

Lupus Stadium: Home of athletics, where people come to train and hold athletics competitions. Especially favored by the elder feralis minor because of the possibilities to have ad-hoc competitions.

Solaras Amphitheater: Home of the Feralis Games. Here aegis competes with each other during the year for fame and glory culminating in the Feralis Games. A well-ranked aegis adds to the prestige of the family and the Pater.

Temple of Lupus: Home of the augur, where people come to get counseling. It is also the place where the Flame of Lupus is maintained by the Lupines. Lupines don't make a distinction between rank or role in society, whatever title you have you're first and foremost a Lupine all the rest is secondary to Lupine-hood. They also assist the augur where and when needed.

Urbetum: Town (city) hall, the administrative heart of the city. A counterpoint to the Temple of Lupus.

Age of Exploration

Auditorium: A specialized space, a large room in the Scholars guildhall where scientists and explorers present their new discoveries.

Chapterhouse: A kind of secondary guildhall occupied by a single chapter with a chapter master. Only big guilds have chapterhouses

Core: The more urban living space. A typical core consists of guildhalls and chapterhouses + their dormitories, family dwellings, market, craftsmen quarter, probably a harbour from a small river port to a large seaport, warehouses annex staging places.

Guildhall: The home base of a guild. A typical guild hall consists of a common hall, dormitory, private quarters for the guild council and depending on the type of guild training rooms, library, research lab or other specialized spaces typical for that guild.

League: Regions with a similar profile that forms a governmental unit. Usually geographically determined.

League capital: Core where the league assembly convenes.

Operating Theatre: A specialized space where many can learn at the same time when surgeries and operations are done without anaesthetics. Autopsies are often done in an Operating Theatre rather than in the Morgue.

Region: A typical region has 4 habitational cores although the size can vary with the geography of the land.

Rural Area: The space between the cores where you will find the farms where food and other necessities are grown.

Scopery: A specialized space to experiment with microscopes or observe with telescopes. Since lenses were discovered at the same time, it makes sense to name the room after the scopes stored and used within. In the beginning, one would often use both microscope and telescope. Chemistry by day and astronomy by night.

Modern History (The Recent Past)

City Council: The lowest level of governance in the Lupus Federation.

Education Council: the fusion of the Minor Guild and the guild school as a consequence of the new Federal paradigm.

Federal Council for Responsible Pethood: One of the institutions/organizations formed after the installment of the Federation Council. In this case all things pet.

Federation Council: The highest level of governance that emerged after the founding of the Lupus
Federation.

Lupus Federation: Comprises the northern hemisphere of the middle continent. It came to be when the leagues joined to become a federation. It is the highest governmental level in the middle continent.

Owl College: Owl College has been founded to cater to PH-2 during their transformation phase while tending college and also special cases such as DPP, PHBS and POBS. Nowadays it has become the point of reference for Pet Studies and integrated education.

Pet Center Guild: the fusion of the guilds pet-centers. The predecessor of PCI.

Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Pets: the executional branch of the Federal Council for Responsible Pethood

Union Council: the fusion of the former guild members.
