"You know how it is," he finally said, shrugging. "We just weren't right for each other."

Ophelia leaned in closer, her eyes searching his. "What about you, Ophelia?" he asked, desperately trying to keep the conversation light.

"Oh, I'm just living the dream," she said with a laugh "Working at the local library and taking care of my mom. Nothing too exciting."
