His Dad

"Dad! He's on his ship! They can alert the army!" Colin exclaimed with hope.

He rapidly hit speed dial whilst pleading that his father wasn't infected.

"Hello, this is Reactor Officer Murphy. Who is this?" A man said on the other end.

"Colin H. Greys, my dad is James Greys" Colin replied.

"Sorry to tell you Colin, but your father was one of the first people turned when the ship got overrun."

Colin's heart sank at what he heard.

"WHAT? Tell me it isn't true! Tell me it isn't true!" Colin pleaded in dismay.

"It must be hard, but listen here. I've got enough food and water in the storeroom I'm hiding in to last us a week at the most. I can guide you here, just follow my directions." Murphy calmly told to the shocked young man.

"Ok-okay, I'll listen" Colin shakily said.

"Good, now listen. I know your address is at Autumn Gardens Avenue. You father told me that once... go to the plaza at Bremondforth, you should find an Army Surplus store to arm yourself." Murphy instructed. "Get there, gear up, and I'll explain what to do from there."

"Alright," Colin said as he hung up. He emptied his college backpack, threw in a map and some granola alongside some bottles of G2 and water.
