Hiro Okamura's Science Fair Experiment (DC Comics)

Hiro Okamura helped the Justice League and the Young Titans a lot. Doing support tech was a pretty ignored job, but he enjoyed it a lot. It was a great change to hang out with pretty girls, nothing bad for a simple genius without powers.

Hiro would be lying if he wasn't tempted to trying a solo career, but he was pretty insecure about his skills. He was informed of the biggest discoveries that the Justice League, Titans or Young Justice faced, but he was quite ignored. He was just tech support, not a big guy like Robin or Superboy.

At least until the arrival of Miss Ithunia, a goddess from a higher dimension that wanted him to become part of her science team. Hiro was baffled, wondering why she was asking him instead of Ted Kord or John Henry Irons, something that the goddess shamefully had to answer that she really contacted him because certain...emotions.

Hiro was a good guy. He would never **** himself on anyone, but watching so many girls in skinsuits and revealing clothes was hard. Other male heroes joked that the constant physical activity was the reason for the why they weren't showing a constant erection, but Hiro didn't had the luxury of that. He kept himself in shape by doing diets and exercises, not fighting in the night.

And this goddess was giving him the power to indulge on those desires on exchange for his work.

Hiro wasn't dumb, he knew that something was off. But Ithunia inmediately showed him that she wasn't lying, she gave him a small brazalet that tied itself to his wirst. Hiro tried to take away the brazalet, fearing that it was a brainwashing machine but Ithunia merely left from the gate, walking peacefully.

"The choice is yours, I trust in your choice, I know that you will eventually find the right path and we will talk to each other again".

Hiro ran to the door, searching the woman and calling for the rest of the Titans.

He ended up coming off as a fool. The cameras detected nothing but Hiro had a new brazalet. Robin dismissed it as a joke but he was curious about it.

"Why you had to invent a story about a godess when you just wanted to brag about your new invention. I'm actually curious about it"

Cyborg nodded and analyzed the brazalet.

"This is weird, it has materials from outside the planet but that aren't on my database. I know you are friends with Superman, he did give you some of them?"

"Uh...yes"--said Hiro, starting to feel nervious--This is a gift of Karen, she gave me the materials to do this.

"Well, what it does?"

I want to know the same thing

Hiro touched the center of the machine, he never got a guide on it at all. It was a strange machine and he was out of instructions.

Honestly, this is a neat origin story. Jaime would be amused.

Hiro simply thought in something. It was like Green Lantern's ring? What this did?

And he got a quick answer. The machine showed him a hub showing the stats of everyone, surprising everyone in the room. Their resistance and powers were shown as stats as if it was a RPG Game, a very convenient way.

Hiro was fascinated, this was crazy useful. Cyborg was a bit jealous, while he also had a analyzer, this wasn't as good as Hiro's new machine, but hey, it was neat to have something better, maybe he could improve his later.

Scanning data and compilating it was useful. But it was kind of dissapointing given the fluff. After some tests, Hiro promised Cyborg to share the technology with him as soon he could.

Hiro once thought to let Cyborg hack it, but it would be reckless to thrown his friend to such a danger. The night set on and...well, the annoying routine happened.

A lot of attractive and fit teenagers without supervision together.

The sound proof rooms didn't hide the truth. In fact, that they were soundproof just made it more obvious. Hiro couldn't hear the sounds of sex, but he knew they were there.

And then the windows were knocked to shown someone who Hiro knew very well. The girl of his fantasies, Kara Zor-L was in the Titan's tower, watching him from the windows and waving her hand.

Hiro opened the windows to let Kara enter, he was surprised at why she appeared at this hour and while a part of his brain was thinking in unsavoury things, that lust banished when he saw the injuries in her body.

"Kara!? What happened!!?"

Hiro was horrified in two sides. In one side, watching Kara injured was painful because she was his crush. But in the other side, that someone could injure Kara was already bad news on first place.

Brainiac. He went straight for the kill. He just threw a beam that could have vaporized a city, but Superman stopped it by blocking it. Seeing that, Brainiac just blasted multiple beams that could have destroyed the city or even more, forcing the entire league to stop the barriage. I took a lot of those beams.

Once the big guys like me, Supes or the Lanterns managed to gauge their strenght and overpower it easily, Brainiac stopped and send his Mutant Machines to attack the entire League.

"Hear me well, Justice League. I would leave this planet if you surrender to me. Otherwise, my Mutant Machines will destroy this world even if you win. You decide, fighting me and sacrifice your planet or sacrifice yourself now"

"Shut up Brainiac"--said Wonder Woman, I know you are lying.

"Brainiac himself descended from his ship, with his mere presence now overwhelming the entire League. He was far stronger than before"

"Use that lasson on me. Its magic is strong enough that it will still affect me after my upgrades"

Wonder Woman threw the lasson of truth on Brainiac. Asking him if his offer was serious or not.

"Yes. I'm not lying".

The exhausted Justice League surrendered to Brainiac.

One of the robots fighting for Brainiac commented that he was only taking some of them. Brainiac took away multiple of the heroes, with the Trinity first. However, the team that he left was enough to protect Earth.

"I don't want Earth to be destroyed, this planet is the best experiment ground. I think that you guys would be enough to defend it for now"

"For now?"

"I'm not the only person trying to take advantage of the grand crack. I can't let this universe go to waste, at least not before I manage to gather enough data of it. I have become far stronger than before, but I'm not the only threat now. Both inside and outside your world, others are coming. I've decided that this world is a great place to use pawns"

"Brainiac, are you saying that you want to protect Earth?"

"Earth has proven way too valuable. Previously you were a obstacle on my plans, now you are my triumph card. If you survive to whatever gets thrown to you"

That is why I came to the Titan Tower, the Justice Hall got blew up. I needed a place to rest.

Let's go to the infirmary!!--said Hiro, scared.

However, as they walked to the infirmary, Hiro's brazalet started to emit a warm light that imitated the healing rays. Even before the gate was opened, Power Girl was healed.

"This is your new machine?...Its warm"

Hiro smiled at her words and let her explain the truth to the Titans, announcing that the Justice League was gone.

The first attack that Brainiac warned came mere days after Power Girl's arrival. The new Hall of Justice was build for the remaining League members, with Hiro using his spider bots to create a durable place that could be hidden well enough.

Blue Bettle, Booster Gold and Steel were missing, kidnapped by Brainiac. Hiro was now one of the big brains of the superhero community now.

I wanted this...but not like this.

The news were announced. Multiple massive attacks across the planet. While the heroes were used to be busy, this was just too much for everyone.

Power Girl asked reinforcements , a monstruous robotic creature was erasing entire armies. At this point, Hiro should wait for Cyborg to arrive to deal with that...but he couldn't wait anymore. Hiro took a plane and flew to save Kara from the robot.

AAAAH--roamed the creature, a draconic chimera. Power Girl punched it with all her strenght, but the creature refused to fall.

INFINITE CANNON--roared and the energy beams were stopped by Kara's body, leaving her extremely wounded.

Kara stood and avoided the new missile barriage, she was still fit to keep fighting, even if her body was collapsing, just a bit more...

A missile clashed on the giant beast and Hiro distracted it. But when the chimera threw its new Infinite Cannon, Hiro knew that this plan was risky.

The Hud showed that his missiles did nothing. However...the Chimeramon was too much.

But then, the Brazalet activated itself. Hiro studied it enough to learn its powers and the machine turned Hiro into a black slime that controlled the plane, duplying its speed to grave Kara and fly away, at least enough before Hiro.

Hiro charched the place with a special missile meant to deal with creatures of different wavelenghts. He didn't went like a idiot children, he wanted to save Kara and he would do it.

Using the Black Jet's body, Hiro used its power to attune the machine to the creature's wavelenght and fire his missile.

The missile exploded and Machinedramon's body was reduced to a mere husk of itself, a bunch of textures that banished into nothingness.

Kara noticed a egg falling off and saved it, whatever was this egg, she knew that it would be stupid to not study.

The Black Jet arrived to safety with Kara and the egg. Kara wanted to knew who was this new hero and when Hiro left the cockpit, she was fascinated at how the silly little boy who saved the world in exchange for a date grew up into such a brave man.
