It was…. Himself.

“What the fuck”, Mark said outloud, only heard by his apparent doppelganger.

“Ah Mark 42, I’m so glad to finally meet, uh…. Me.”

“What the fuck” Mark said again. Whoever this was even had the same voice as him.

“Ah shock. Not surprising considering your seeing yourself for the first time.”

Mark was simply silent, to an awkward degree. “What?” was the only thing he could say.

The dolpleganger sighed. “This could probably have gone better. O.K, long story short, the multiverse is real, and I’m an alternate version of you. Like you, I have an implications control over time.”

Mark’s jaw dropped. What the fuck was going on?

“You expect me to believe you?” Mark accused his alternate self.

“What seeing yourself in your kitchen standing in front of a interdimensional portal isn’t enough?”

Mark simply continued to stare at alt-Mark.

“Damn, OK I guess isn’t enough. This went so much better with pirate Mark.”

“O.K, that is just ridiculous” Mark thought to himself.

“So you still don’t believe me huh?” the other Mark said. “What if I told you that I know you have a frozen Rae Tucker, Emily Mackenzie, Pheobe Page, Gabriella Borbon, and Dawn Chavez in your living room. You and Katie dyed Phoebe’s hair back to it’s natural blonde about three weeks ago.”

Mark was shocked that someone claiming to be him knew of what he had done, and immediately tried to freeze time.

“And don’t even bother trying to freeze time, it won’t work with this portal open. It also wouldn’t work on me, with me being you after all.”

Sure enough, Mark’s powers were gone it seemed. He would be fine with the women he had frozen, but he still wanted more.

“Even if I were to believe you, why would you come here in the first place?” Mark said to his alternate form.

“Ughhh, I forgot I can be so incredibly stubborn sometimes. O.K, here’s the list, Mark Donovans across the multiverse can all co troll time at their will. We can freeze whomever we want permanently, in them separate from the rest of it. Eventually, one of us, a really smart one discovered the multiverse and made contact…. With me. Together we used out powers to create a meeting place outside of space and time, and use it to hold meetings with other Marks, a council of sorts. I’m here to invite you to join this council.”

Mark simply blinked a couple of times at the lengthy exposition. The conspiracy theorist in him wanted to kill him and forget this ever happened, yet he found himself believing this other ‘him’. Maybe because it really was him, that he found himself believe all of this. Still he had one more question on his mind.

“Why me?” he asked his alternate self.

The other Mark actually looked sad at this. “It’s a…. it’s actually a long story. Come with me, and I’ll explain. Don’t worry, no one will walk in and see your girls. They are fine where they are.”

With that, the other Mark turned and walked into the portal. He then turned around and looked Mark directly in the eye.

“Well, you coming?”

Mark took a deep breath, and stepped forward into the portal.
