Chapter 14 by brevdravis brevdravis

Meanwhile...

Hia Muy Temple

"I don't give a fuck if he's BUSY, you little Vermin," The large dark haired woman's Skin flared bright red. "You tell him, he makes time for his boss, and he does it NOW." The smashed desk was simply encouragement, not a threat. "Oh come ON! You can run faster than THAT!" The woman shouted towards the rapidly retreating robed figure. Nomino hated these little fucking perverts with their games. She glanced around the room, momentarily contemplating the possibility of approaching one of the more attentive and attractive ones before remembering soberly why she was here. Nope, no time for fun today, even if these little worms would love her for it.

"So good to see you Oyabun," Came the expected voice after far too many moments of waiting. "Has there been a problem with the payment?"

Nomino spun on the ball of her foot, bringing the foot down harder than she should have to make the point. She believed the small chunk she took out of the floor accomplished that handily.

"You said one plant, you little fuck," Nomino snarled at the man, "One plant, and that was a done deal. So explain why the fuck I am seeing monster girls act more like monsters then the norm, with that weird shit seeping out from them? Why is there this huge blight eating up chunks of wildlife, forcing my people out of their homes? Why!?"

The man simply grinned as he patiently awaited for his turn.

"Caveat Emptor. I told you from the start I required a plant with your help, you never asked further on what this plant would be capable of."

With a quick gush of wind, his cloak rippled in effect as she punched her fist through a table nearby, the furniture collapsing in two right away. Plenty of notes, journals and flasks littered the floor, with the glass crashing into shards. From the corner of her eye, she noticed one journal was opened up to a page showing an illustration of a magic seal, similar to her own.

"If you plan to throw a fit, I would advise you step out before I escort you out. We are not children, we are adults. Perhaps it is best you behave like one." Nomino glared into his eyes, he did not blink or move. His lack of fear annoyed her greatly, she was used to men cowering beneath her after all. But not him.

"I will beat you into the ground after what you did. Your act of trickery is a plague, and it's affecting me and my business, that was not our agreement!"

"The deal was, you would help place your seal or whatever you label it as into a flower I requested and brought for you. You lend your assistance of which you did, and I payed you dearly for that, did I not? Or are you here to accuse me of paying falsely as well?"

Her fists continued to clench and unclench, slowly bringing herself to calm down enough not to do anything rash. This sniveling dickhead is smiling, the little shit! "Okay, the deal was I helped you make one plant, but only one. Would you care to explain why there are hundreds more outside of Hia Muy? Unless I am mistaken, you broke our bond which means you are no longer safe from me."

"You'll find that I did no such thing. I kept to my word, only one plant was forged. If you'll follow me, it would be easier to let the visuals explain for me." Begrudgingly she followed, noticing all his other men staring at her with caution. His white cloak dragged its ends on the marble floor beneath them, their footsteps echoing down the hallowed walls before arriving to the altar. A coffin had been placed there, a part of the architecture that resounded for centuries now for all to see. She heard him pull a lever unknown to her and suddenly a secret opening sprung forth, leading into the darkness below.

He smiled as she looked back to him, suspicious of what the meaning of this is. "It is no trap I assure you, though you may want your guard up. I cannot promise you will be safe down here."

Journeying underground, her eyes widened as her body became alert. Hundreds of buzzing noises echoed around the large tunnel, before her eyes became aware that this tunnel itself carried hundreds of small holes burrowed in its walls and ceiling.

"There you may find your answer." He directed up ahead. Hoisted up onto a small hilltop was the flower they had created together, glowing brightly through the dark and gloriously spreading its golden orange petals, its nectar seeping into the ground, forming veins that surrounded and spread through the tunnels as far as the eye can see. A Honey Bee sprung out from a hole above, grunting and snarling with bright orange eyes, drooling the same nectar as that of their flower before buzzing away into another hole.

"This is your answer. I kept my word and only created one flower personally, as your bond dictated. However, Honey Bees have a natural instinct to spread pollen throughout our lands and I just so happened to have come across a hive right beneath this city. I didn't do a thing besides plant this flower into the ground. What happened next was beyond my control."

Her eyes flared at him, he wasn't worried at all, not a hint of regret or remorse but rather... content?

"You planned this shit, didn't you?"

He smiled before locking eyes with her. "I have no clue what ever you are talking about. Now, if you'll excuse me it is not safe for either of us before they take notice we are here. We must make haste, they are a rabid species, those girls."

Running back up the steps, he sealed away the hidden entrance, concealing it once more leaving him and his partner alone once more. "Have I answered all that you sought?"

"Why would you go out of your way for this? You know, ever since I realized who my new client was, I laughed. Couldn't be true, big guy like yourself. Why would anyone in your position work with a gal like me? Come to think of it, how would Hia Muy take it if I told everyone who my newest client is?"

His eyes burrowed beneath their bushy brows. "If you truly aim to expose me, thus exposing yourself to the world, by all means. Even in ****, I have done my bidding. My work is complete, there is no stopping it. And besides, who would believe the likes of you? You couldn't believe it yourself until we met face to face. Do you really take man to be so gullible?"

He smiled, brushing past her as he stared outwards. "I have gotten my use from you, your presence is no longer need. I suggest you leave before my hand is ****. If you want my advice, best you relocate as far away from here as you can. Not that it would matter, in a matter of weeks my work will be fulfilled and all these pests will finally be exterminated."

"And they call me monster. What the hell have they done to you?"

He remained quiet, standing still as he stared into the colored glass. With a heavy scoff, Nomino marched out of the large wooden double doors, pushing several guards as sunlight welcomed her. Her men stood there waiting when they saw her distraught and infuriated.

"Someone we need to clap, bosu?"

"No, bastard made sure I couldn't. I need some time to think, and then... well, one step at a time at this point." She turned around before flilling off the cathedral as they continued walking off into the city streets.

Holy Temple my ass.

Meanwhile, A Bee Girls flight Away...
