First day on the job?

Hero's First Day

Chapter: Hero's First Day rough draft v2

Josh awoke, a strange feeling of ease washing over him. He knew he should feel different, perhaps even wrong, but instead, everything seemed more natural than ever. The way his body moved, the way he thought, it all flowed with an eerie grace.

His old clothes didn't feel right anymore, both physically and stylistically. They hung on his altered frame awkwardly, reflecting an identity that no longer felt wholly his.

"You know, Josh, I can take care of that for you," AISYS's voice chimed in, ever supportive. "BioWar's vanity led her to design this suit with the ability to mimic any style using absorbed materials. I can even make them bullet-resistant and always perfect, just as she would have wanted."

"That's convenient," Josh remarked, a touch of humor in his voice. "No more laundry days, huh?"

"Exactly," AISYS responded cheerfully. "And everything will always look impeccable. Just pick what you want, and I'll make it happen."

Josh took his time, carefully selecting every part of his new outfit. Starting with the basics, he chose a simple yet elegant set of undergarments, a matching bra and panties that offered support and comfort without sacrificing style. AISYS's integration here was even more delicate, crafting the fabric onto his body with a gentle touch that felt natural and unintrusive. The sensation was both strange and comforting, like a whispered affirmation.

He then picked a pair of soft, ankle-length socks. As AISYS absorbed them and molded them onto his feet, he marveled at the perfect fit, each contour and curve of his feet embraced warmly.

For the outerwear, he chose a tailored, form-fitting blouse that highlighted his softer shoulders and slimmer waist. The pale blue color gave his eyes a more striking appearance, and the material clung to his body in a way that was both flattering and comfortable.

He paired it with dark, straight-leg jeans that accented his newly curvy hips and slender thighs. AISYS manipulated the fabric, ensuring that it contoured to his new form perfectly, without restricting his movement. It was a blend of casual and feminine, reflecting the girl-next-door image that he now embodied.

Finally, he chose a pair of chic yet understated ballet flats. AISYS's integration here was flawless, making them feel like a natural extension of his feet. They complemented his outfit beautifully, adding a touch of grace without drawing undue attention.

As he examined the complete look in the mirror, the realization hit him. Every piece of clothing, from the blouse to the undergarments, the trousers to the shoes, they fit his body perfectly. As if they were always meant to be there. He looked like the girl next door. With a slight body horror sensation, the fabrics seamlessly grew from his skin, creating a look that was stylish and fitting for his new, more feminine body.

"All set, Josh," AISYS said, her voice filled with pride. "Ready to conquer the day?"

"Let's do it," he replied, heading out.

On his way to the hero headquarters, AISYS inquired about his lack of a car.

"You could afford one," she noted, curious. "Why don't you have one?"

"In a city like this, a bike or motorcycle makes more sense," Josh explained, a hint of embarrassment in his voice. "I always meant to get my license and pick up a scooter then upgrade to a full size one late, but something always got in the way, I had a reliable way to work so it never became a must have. Walking or public transport has just become part of my routine. Keeps me in shape, saves money. I should look into it again, though. It was a bit embracing not having 'something' with how high up i was in the company, bet it'll be even more so as a hero." An idea crossed his mind, and he asked, "Could we absorb a motorbike?"

AISYS pondered, "I don't know. Something that large? I wouldn't even want to try until our combined biomass was much greater. Is that something you want us to do?"

"No," Josh answered, curiosity sated. "Just an idea. Having one available would be cool."

"That I might be able to do," AISYS perked up. "Let me do some research and calculations."

Arriving at the secret hero entrance, Josh made his way to the locker room, a mix of excitement and apprehension building within him. Transforming into Ariea, his super-heroine Identity, felt different now, like part of his soul was on the outside of his body, tendrils connecting back to him through every pore of his body. It left him with a tingling, almost empty sensation.

Once transformed, he stepped out of the private area designed for those who wished to keep their civilian identities hidden.

Standing there, in the full glory of his heroic persona, he felt a sense of purpose, a calling. The world outside was waiting, and Ariea was ready to answer.
