Chapter 4

What's next?

Here they are…

I sit back and listen as the three girls sit and complain about their grades and how they have no idea what to do to bring it up… and that’s where I cut in:

“Listen, ladies, I know your grades mean a lot to you, but I can’t really do anything.” I say as I sip my coffee, “I’d love to help, but I just don’t know how…”

“Wait… what about your out of the classroom studies you do? I heard from a couple other girls that you’ve given extra credit to the students that help with those,” Brooke states leaning forward against my desk as she tries to make a point. It’s funny she mentions the other girls, since I had those girls suggest this to her.

“Of course… I do have a new lab coming up where I’ll be testing a few things. All three of you could help, if you’re interested…” I say with a smile that welcomes them all as they agree and claim they’ll be the best helpers I can get.

I watch as they stand and leave, all of them glad to have a new plan to get the credit they need before the end of the semester…
