Her Plans

"First of all, when are you planning on killing the Demon God?" Ayashi asks me.

"We were planning on unsealing him tonight. Or tomorrow morning, since we have plans today and are unsure when we'll be done." I reply and she nods.

"Great. I've placed another one of those Summon Me items inside your Guild Hall. Don't worry, I've made it so only you can see it. Not even Verona could see it. It's in your Guildmaster's office. Once you've slain the Demon God use it so we can make you a full Mythos. Next, I'd like you to read this." She says while pulling a stack of paper from the air. The papers are stapled together. She hands it to me and I take it. I see the cover is a large bold #52. I open it and start reading. I'm shocked to see its plans to take over the US government. She plans to use her Soul-Skill to manipulate the public. She'll become president in the next election, thanks to her Soul-Skill. Once she's president she'll use her position to slowly introduce the Lyna world to the country. She'll use her magic to influence other countries to do the same. It goes on and on in great detail about how she'll introduce the Lyna world. It describes what Schools and Spells she'll start with. It even describes when she'll introduce monsters to the public. I do have to admit, it does sound convincing. Especially the part about making it easier to get to Dungeons. She points out what she needs me to do. She wants my Guild to be the first to go public. She wants to show people what we can do and the various races my Guild has. It takes me nearly an hour to read through it all. Once I'm done I set it down and Ayashi looks at me excitedly. "What do you think?" She asks me excitedly.

"I can tell you put a lot of thought into it." I say and she nods.

"Yes, but do you like it?" She asks.

"Honestly I'm not sure. I need some time to think about it. It's not bad. I just don't know how I feel about being the first Guild to show off magic."

"That's fine. It's going to be at least two or three years until then. If you want, we can find another Guild to do it instead."

"So you're going to run next year then?"

"Yeah, I've already started everything I need for it. I've set up a false identity of course. I have the connections I need. I certainly meet the age requirements." She says with a laugh.

"So you're not worried about the other Lyna?" I ask and she looks at me confused.

"Worried about what?" She asks me and I sigh.

"About how they'll look for the Primal Source. Knowing how humans and Lyna are. There are going to be quite a few that will look for the source of magic. I feel like it's a matter of time until one finds it. Of course, we could just build something over the Primal Source. But then people would ask why. They'd get curious and find it. If we don't build on it, they'll still find it. And then they'll know."

"Yeah, but in that case we'll get rid of them. I don't mean to kill them. I know a School of magic that allows me to interfere with one's memory. It's highly taxing, only Mythos can use it. But it'll be enough for the ones who find it. I'll make them think they found nothing and tell the world that the hill that houses the Primal Source is empty." She replies and I nod.

"I'm still not convinced that'll work. I remember the mana from the water being incredibly dense. If Sensors or other Lyna who specialize in mana detection really try. I'm sure they'll track it down by following the mana back to its source." I reply and she sighs.

"Eric, it's sounding like you're not with me here. If you don't want to help me that's okay. I'll be upset and mad, but I won't hurt you or anything. I'm not a monster. Oh! But I would need you to enter a Pact where you won't interfere with me." She says and I shake my head no.

"No, it's not that. There's just no going back once we do this. I want to make sure you've thought of everything." I say and she nods, relieved.

"Good, and I assure you that I have. Now I have a question for you Eric. How close are you with those two Goddesses?" She asks and I think it over.

"I'd say we're friends, why?" I ask as she seems disappointed hearing this.

"As the Queen of Mythos, I forbade us from interacting with the Gods and Goddesses. Even though we're very similar, I didn't want them to discover the Primal Source. But I've always been curious about what the child of a Goddesses and Mythos would be." She says and I **** on my saliva. She chuckles before continuing. "That's enough of this for now. I'll let you get back to your Guild Hall. Remember to use the Summon Me item when you've slain the Demon God and sorted your thoughts on this." She says before snapping her fingers again. She disappears, taking the glass table and chairs we were on with her. I feel myself get pulled back to my body and enter it. When I next open my eyes I'm back in my body. I stumble and Luna chuckles before grabbing my arm again.

"C'mon Alpha! Let's hurry!" She says while dragging me to the entrance. She yanks open the door and pulls me in.
