Her Job

Ruby's eyes widened in shock. Why was this a question, why did Ozpin or anyone for that matter need to know what she was left with.

She almost immediately crossed of weapon. She hadn't even seen the weapon her mother used in battle. Tai and Uncle Qrow never mentioned it, and all Drunkle Grow could get out is that, 'She was untouchable with it,'.

Her will made no sense to her. Tai had mentioned how she held the same determination as her mother. But that wasn't something she gave her.

When it came to her duty, Tai woul only mention that she was self sacrificing, how no matter who it was she would try and help them. When Tai mentioned it, well it confused Ruby. Was that her duty?

Ruby looked at the last answer. What was Summer's job? The obvious answer was Hunterss, she was the major reason why Ruby even wanted to fight.

As she dwelled on the question a memory came back to her.

"Mommy, mommy I wanna procec evyone," A young Ruby no older than 4 looked up at Summer holding onto her mother's cloak a sweet big giant smile.

Summer gave her a smile to match her daughters "I know you will honey, but it won't be everyone, You worry about Daddy and Yang. Let me worry about everyone else,"

In that one second Ruby circled Her Job and understood what she meant. As one of the floor boards shifted slightly. Ruby looked down, there it was her 2nd cloak and weapon.

Back when the Silver Eyes Warriors first appeared, each 'clan' took a content to protect. The Rose clan took Vale and protected it's people from the shadows. A family might be traveling from their farm to town to get supplies, be ambushed by a pack of beowulfs and in one second all that remains is rose petals in their place and alone clocked figure walking away. Legends of these Grimm Reapers that roamed Vale had been going on for centuries. Sadly for one reason or another the entirety of the Silver eyes had been hunted down, leaving Ruby in charge of protecting of not just protecting Vale but Remnant at large.

A Grimm Reaper had two cloaks. Their 'human' cloak was used when in public when they needed to be a part of society for Ruby it was her red cloak. Their 2nd cloak, the 'Reaper' cloak was for one longer than their human cloak, usually covering all of their body when not in action. The 2nd difference was decoration. Human cloaks where simple in design at most having the individuals symbol on the cloak. Reaper cloaks where in comparison a tapestry to the Reaper in question. The cloak was made with a special technique, using dust and aura to suppress any oder left by the user. This was to make sure that the Reapers could not be tracked.

Most Reapers followed a similar template being solid white or black, for her it was mainly white and completely black in her mother's case. Along the inside of the cloak was a rose bush. In each bud something valued by that individual. For Ruby it was the symbol of each one of her girlfriends. This was done so the Reaper would constantly have a reminder of what they where fighting for.

Each Reaper would chose a creature of Grimm and model the outside around it. Ruby had chosen a beowulf, the hood its held 2 pointed ears leading down to 2 glowing yellow eyes, above where her eyes should be. The cloak itself had a jagged pattern to resemble an Alpha Beowulf's protruding bones.

A Reaper's weapon was meant to help keep the Human life and Reaper separate. It should bring out something different, from the individual.

In Ruby's case another scythe Waining Thorn. Unlike her twin sister, Waining was simple in design, only being able to shift into a more compact form. Waining's blade was one solid piece of Silver. If fighting at night it would be the only thing seen by her enemy. With it just being a scythe Ruby was far better with Waining Thorn than with Crescent Rose, which made up for it's poor range and no ability to use dust.

As she looked down at the packet she noticed that it was the last question. A small smile on her face.

Ruby grabbed her Reaper cloak. This was her job, she was the last silver eyes warrior, she was the last Reaper defender of Remnant. Leader of team RWBYNP and the greatest scythe wielder across Remnant as she went to grab Waining Thorn. She heard the laughter and general talk of her team as the opened the door. Only to see Ruby standing there in nothing but her pajamas rose petals falling to the ground.

"RUBY I TOLD YOU NO SEMBLANCE IN THE DORM ROOM," Weiss stomped on the ground as everyone else shuffled into the room.

"Calm down Weisscream, They'll vanish in a few minutes." Yang waved Weiss off as she walked over and picked up Ruby. Before she could even close her eyes, Ruby already had her tongue inside her mouth dancing around her own. Yang wanted to struggle to show her little sister that she wasn't a push over. But as much as she tried, the idea that even her own tongue could hurt Ruby **** her to just take it.

As Ruby slowly broke away from the kids, she gave Yang a toothy grin. Nora could be heard in the background yelling "Me, next me next,"

Ruby sighed it was going to be a long night before she could go to 'sleep'
