Her Hairband

You decide to take the slow approach. You have all the time in the world, and sometimes it's important to savor the moment.

You walk up to the still-frozen-in-time agent, and gently remove the hairband keeping her hair tied nearly together. You slip it inside your pocket, and then walk back to where you were standing and reset the flow of time to normal.

"-gain access to this facility?", Eva finished saying as she cautiously eyed the strange figure standing in front of her.

In the next instant, her hair fell to her shoulders, causing her to do a double take. Some of it fell in front of her eyes, but she managed to brush it aside while keeping her sights trained on her target.

How had her hairband slipped off? She had tied her hair carefully not too long ago.

To her frustration, the figure said nothing, instead smiling in a smug and content way.

"You're in a whole lot of trouble.", she said with a tone of warning in her voice. "Stand down."

The reply that came frustrated her. "Am I? I'll make you a counteroffer, Agent. If you stand down and answer a few simple questions, I'll spare you from any further trouble coming your way."

She scoffed, almost laughing at what she was hearing. "Really? You're in no position to bargain. I'll count to three...."

You sigh, stopping time once more. You went for the questions way too early, you realized. The woman has no idea who she's dealing with, and to be fair, you haven't given her much reason to think otherwise.

You decide to do a little more work before you try again.
