Hell yes.

Matt had made a deal with Cindi, and part of the deal was to help her become more popular. To get there, Cindi needed to be seen as attractive to guys. To get where he needed to be, Matt needed to be seen as attractive to girls. Taking Cindi out someplace where they could be seen was a definite win-win.

There was, however, one slight problem. Matt didn't have a car or a driver's license. And as secluded as the Hill was, getting an Uber would cost a fortune. Without a car, he wouldn't be able to take her anyplace. It wasn't as if they allowed public transit anywhere near the Hill. And, even if he was able to arrange something, there wouldn't be any making out and tit-fumbling in the back seat.

"I would have asked you out earlier," Matt admitted. "But, I don't have a car."

Cindi wrinkled her nose. "Oh."

"Yeah, I thought that might be a deal-breaker."

"But Pam and I have a car. I could drive."

Of course she had a car. He'd forgotten that Cindi, although she wasn't as pretty or popular as some of the other students, was one of the rich kids.

"You don't mind driving?" In his experience, girls expected guys to provide transportation, plus pay for whatever they were doing.

"It's fine. I know that you're not as rich as some of the others here. You don't have to take me anyplace fancy or expensive. So, when shall we go out and where are you taking me?"

Not as rich as some was putting it mildly. Still, it was obvious Cindi still expected him to at least pay for the date. "Do you know how to skate? There's an Ice Chalet not too far from here."

Cindi grinned. "Yes I know how to skate. The only question is whether you can keep up with me."

He probably couldn't. "So, how about tomorrow night. Is it okay with your mom if you date on school nights?"

"You've got a date. I'll pick you up at seven."
