Hell nah, cut through the woods

"Random screaming in the middle of bandit territory? I don't think so...." You mutter to yourself, deciding to ere more on the side of caution. So with the sword still held tightly against your hip, you decide to take another small detour even further away from the highway. The brush is thick, and the going certainly isn't easy. All manner of sticks and bushes smack at your body and snag at your clothes. It seems even the plant life itself can't keep its hands off you.

Nevertheless you continue on, bushwhacking your way through the forest and meeting any of its **** assaults with a swift slice from your blade. Before long the cries are dying out behind you, being replaced by nothing more than a soft breeze, and the sound of various stick and leaves crunching underneath your footsteps. You could almost describe it as downright peaceful.

Should be far enough away now from....well, whatever was going on back there. You take a look around, and let out a deep sigh of relief. "Alright....now the highway should be uh....it should be...." you say, your words dwindling off ever so slightly as your eyes move across the surrounding forest. You continue forward, your eyes searching for any sort of landmark, but again and again all you find are trees, bushes, and even more trees. Eventually you just turn in a random direction, hoping that your gut feeling wins out.

"Should be right over here......right?"
