Where does he look for Chloe?
Heather's room
Kurt said he swapped with Chloe so the most logical place to look would be Heather's room, Zack decided. He approached the door and knocked.
A moment later Heather open the door, her smiling face turning to a frown when she saw who had knocked.
"You know it's bad when I'd actually prefer for it to be Kurt knocking at my door," Heather said.
"Heather, is Chloe in there?" Zack tried to look past her into the room, but couldn't see anyone else. "I need to talk to her like right now."
"Why would I tell you?" Heather crossed her arms against her chest. "Chloe and I might not be the closest of people but how you treated her was really awful. And you're suppose to be one of her best friends."
"That's why I have to speak with her," Zack pleaded. "I know I screwed up but if I can just sit down and talk to her I know I can straighten this whole thing out."
"Straighten what out Zack? Do you still want to have a relationship with Chloe?"
"No. I mean it's not like I don't still have feelings for her and what we had was fun," Zack explained. "But for now I know I burned that bridge. I'm exploring how things are going with Ashley now anyway but I don't want to lose Chloe as a friend."
"Well, then maybe don't cheat on her in the woods where anyone can see," Heather said.
Zack smiled. "You know Kurt said almost exactly the same thing."
"That's not how you get on my good side, Zack."
"Alright, alright," Zack hand waved the tangent. "I know I've been a terrible friend and maybe there's nothing I can do. If I've made my bed I'll sleep in it but if I just sit here and do nothing I'll definitely lose her as a friend. I have to at least try and salvage our friendship. We've been friends for so long, it wouldn't feel right now to have her around."
Heather pushed past Zack and walked towards the kitchen. "It sounds like you just want to shit on people and not have them be angry at you. You shit on them, Zack, of course they're going to be pissed off."
"I know, I get that, I really do," Zack said as he followed her.
Heather didn't say anything as she took a glass and ran the water. When the glass was close to full, she turned off the water and took a sip from the glass. Over the rim, she stared at Zack, clearly trying to decide whether or not to help Zack out.
Finally, she stopped drinking and shrugged.
"Lucky for you, it's not up to me. It's Chloe's decision. If you want to go try your case in front of her, then you can find her down by the lake. She went for a walk to clear her head."
"Thank you, Heather!. Thank you thank you thank you," he chanted as he turned and ran out of the cabin, disappearing into the evening.
Heather chuckled to herself. Moments later Chloe appeared, her body and hair wrapped in a towel.
"Were you talking to someone?"
Heather shook her head. "I was just singing."
"Oh," Chloe said, turning towards the bedroom. "The bathroom's free if you want it."
"Thanks sweety." Heather replied, still smiling to herself.
