Heated Training Session

Silver and Blaze were on the fifth day of their intense training, pushing themselves to their limits. Silver glanced at Blaze, who was breathing heavily, and memories of his own training in the future flooded his mind. He realized how much Blaze had pushed him back then to become stronger, and he wondered if he would have survived without her help.

Blaze stood up and demanded, "Okay, hand to hand." They decided to switch to hand-to-hand combat, even though Silver wasn't the best at it. They knew they had to improve before it was too late, considering the potential chaos caused by Eggman Nega and Metal Blaze. While Blaze had the advantage of speed, Silver focused on reading her movements. He recognized that this Blaze fought similarly to his Blaze, and it brought him comfort.

During the fight, Silver narrowly avoided one of Blaze's kicks by jumping back, struggling to keep up with her speed. He had to read her movements and react quicker than her kicks, which proved to be challenging. However, he managed to maintain a decent pace due to their similar fighting styles.

After blocking one of Blaze's swipes, Silver countered with an open palm strike, causing her to lose her balance. He then attempted a leg sweep, but Blaze's reflexes kicked in, allowing her to recover quickly and evade the move. However, Silver had anticipated her reaction and managed to grab her, pinning her to the ground.

As Silver caught his breath, he looked into Blaze's eyes, which reflected shock and confusion. He then noticed where his hand was resting to secure the pin—his right hand was unintentionally placed on her right breast. A silence fell between them, and Silver felt the urge to move his hand, but it seemed paralyzed. Blaze tried to reach out, saying, "Uh...S...Silver...your hand, it's..." She struggled to find the words, but Silver understood.

Realizing the situation, Silver swiftly withdrew his hand and got off Blaze, sitting up in shame. This wasn't his Blaze, and he knew he was better than this. Suddenly, he felt a warm hand on his shoulder. He looked up to see Blaze, the cat from another dimension, silently comforting him. She reassured him, "It's okay, it was an accident," as she adjusted her shirt. Then, Blaze suggested they take a small break.

Silver accepted the offer, and they moved to a nearby lake. Blaze spoke with a hint of exhaustion in her voice, "Today went really well, I think." Following her gaze to the water, Silver nodded in agreement. He acknowledged her compliment, "You're incredible! It was like you knew every attack I had before I even made it." When Blaze mentioned her need to defeat Metal Blaze, Silver focused his attention on her.

Blaze continued, "She has all my moves, plus a few tricks of her own. If I want any chance against her, I need to be better than myself." She locked eyes with Silver and added, "You're exceptionally skilled at analyzing and blocking each attack."

"There's another reason too," Silver spoke, his gaze fixed on the lake instead of directly looking at Blaze. "Do you know what my future was like...before I saved it, before I became trapped here?" Blaze's surprise was evident as Silver continued to share his story. He described a future consumed by fire and chaos, tormented by a monster named Iblis. He explained that in his timeline, there was also a Blaze, someone he had grown accustomed to.

Blaze listened intently as Silver recounted their relentless fight against Iblis, their daily struggles to push back the destruction. He mentioned how they discovered Sonic was the Iblis Trigger and realized they didn't need to alter the past as much as they initially believed. With a heavy sigh, Silver averted his gaze, admitting, "We saved the world, but I had to seal Blaze away... I wanted to tell her that I loved her, but all I managed to say was that she was my friend."

Blaze sighed, understanding the weight of Silver's confession. "So that's why you looked like you were going to kiss me earlier," she remarked. Then, contemplating their close bond, she asked, "You two were really that close?" Silver nodded, and Blaze responded with a warm smile, saying, "Well, she would probably be very proud to know her sacrifice wasn't in vain. I know I would be." She extended her hand, helping Silver up, and they walked back to the training field, ready to continue their training.
