Headlights.

The second the shed door slammed itself into place, headlights swept across the back yard. I should have heard the motor, should have seen this coming. I immediately recognized the sound of my fathers truck and knew any moment him and my brother Jeff would be entering the house. A chill ran down my spine, but I just looked down at my pitiful nonexistent wardrobe and lowered my shoulders in defeat. With a shrug, and a sigh, I walked into the back door. I internally hoped to see fear and humiliation on my mothers face when I entered the dining room with a case of soda.
