Heading Home

As everyone woke up the next day, they started to pack everything up since they had to be out by noon. It didn’t take them long at all to get everything ready and then starting to pack things inside of the two trucks and the cars that were there. Once they were done, some of them made their way to the picnic table and looked around to make sure everything was done.

“I can’t believe the week is over. It seemed like it just flew by.” Sasha said.

“I know. Now all we have to look forward to is the last few days that we have left before we have to go back to school.” Patrick said.

“Which means that we can still have a little bit of fun, just not here.” Chad said.

“That’s true. I am going to need to catch up on my sleep though. We sure didn’t get much while we were here.” Christine said.

“That would definitely be the case for most of us. So, when do you go back to college, Debbie and Marybeth?” Laura asked.

“We have to leave tomorrow. At least we don’t have to go far though.” Debbie said.

“Yeah. I like that we picked a college that was kind of close to home so that we can come home whenever we need to.” Marybeth said.

“What about you Aunt Jenn, are you ready for school to start?” Debbie asked.

“I actually am. Being a PE coach is actually fun. The only part that I don’t like about it is that I have to teach health sometimes.” Jennifer said.

“I guess that makes sense. You always seem to make it fun though.” Chase said.

“Thanks. I try too. I know I used to be bored as hell in health class, so I know how it is and I want to make sure that none of my students have to deal with that.” Jennifer said.

“I got my schedule last week. I have you for PE.” Mallory said.

“Yeah, me too.” Chad said.

“I think I have her too.” Kirk said.

“Well, I look forward to seeing all of you in my class then.” Jennifer said as she smiled at all of the teens.

“So, I guess we better get out of here. It is getting close to noon.” Patrick said and everyone nodded as they went to pile into trucks and cars so that they could go home.

Patrick was driving his truck back toward the neighborhood that they all lived in. He had Sasha, Laura and Chase with him. The first to be let off was Chase. Everyone got out of the truck to help him unload all of his material that they used for the camping trip.

“Well, this week was a lot of fun. I guess I will see you in a few days at school.” Chase said.

“Yeah, we will see you there.” Patrick said as he did his personal hand shake with Chase and the two girls gave him a hug before they got into the truck again and started making their way to Laura’s house.

It didn’t take them long at all to get to Laura’s house. As they pulled up in her driveway, the three teens got out of the truck and started to unload everything that belonged to Laura. Once they had done that, Sasha and Laura hugged and then Laura turned to Patrick and gave a quick gentle kiss on the lips.

“I had fun this week. I will see you two soon.” Laura said.

“Yeah, if we don’t see you before then, we will see you at school.” Patrick said.

Laura went to her front door and then opened it, but then she turned around to wave at the other two before she went inside and the other two took off driving toward Sasha’s house.

The good thing about Sasha’s house was that it was really close to Patrick’s since there was just a house in between them. Patrick pulled his truck into Sasha driveway and then the two got to unloading all of Sasha’s stuff. Once they were done, they made their way up onto the porch and could see that both of Sasha’s parents were standing there waiting for them.

“Hey. How was your camping trip?” Sherri Goldberg asked.

“It was great. We had a lot of fun.” Sasha said.

“I am glad to hear that, sweetie.” Steven Goldberg said.

“Yeah, it was a lot of fun. I am just sad that the week is over.” Patrick said.

“I know that feeling. So, we have a surprise for you, Sasha.” Steven said as he walked into the house and when he came back out of the house, Sasha started jumping up and down for joy.

In Steven’s arms was a Golden Retriever puppy. He held out his arms to his oldest daughter, who wasted no time in taking the puppy from her dad and hugging it tight to herself. The little puppy started to lick Sasha playfully on the face and she couldn’t help but giggle.

“Oh my God! Thanks mom and dad. I love him.” Sasha said.

“We’re glad. Now how about we get all of this stuff inside. You are welcome to stay for a while Patrick.” Steven said.

“Thanks uncle Steven, but I think I better get home. I have some things that I need to get done.” Patrick said and Steven nodded.

Patrick walked over to Sasha and rubbed the dog's head and then pulled Sasha into a hug before pulling back. “You better call me as soon as this little guy has a name.” Patrick said.

“I will. I will see you later then.” Sasha said and Patrick nodded as he walked back to his truck.

Sasha was happy that Patrick didn’t kiss her in front of her parents. Her mom had been pushing her to get with Patrick for years. She wanted to wait for a while before she told them, because she knew what her mom would do when she found out, so she was going to let things stay like this for a while, at least for her mom anyway.

Patrick didn’t take long at all to get to his house and he saw his dad in the yard cutting the grass. He stopped when he saw Patrick pull up and started to help him unload things.

“So, how were things this week?” Claude Moore asked.

“Everything was great. I am glad to be home though.” Patrick said.

“Yeah. I know what you mean. Let’s get all of this stuff packed away and then you should go in and see your mom.” Claude said and Patrick nodded in agreement.

Once everything was done, Patrick did make his way into the house. He walked into the kitchen to get himself a glass of water and he saw that his mom was cooking a late lunch for herself and his father.

“Hey honey. Do you want something to eat?” Josephine Moor asked.

“Sure. I didn't have anything to eat today.” Patrick said and his mom nodded as she went about adding a little bit more food so that there would be plenty for everyone.

“So, how was your trip?” Josephine asked.

“It was a lot of fun. I am glad that we got to do this before we head into our senior year.” Patrick said.

“Anything interesting happen while you were there?” Josephin asked and Patrick had to wonder if his mom could read his mind or something because she always knew when there was a change in his life, even when he didn’t say anything.

“I guess that is possible.” Patrick said with a smirk.

“Well, don’t leave me hanging. What happened?” Josephine asked.

“Sasha and I talked and we both found out that we have feelings for each other. That’s not all though and I know you might not be happy with this, but Laura confessed her feelings for me too and I let her know that I had feelings for her too. The last thing is Lexy. She has had a crush on me for a while, so we are together too.” Patrick said, looking nervous about his mother’s reaction.

“Well, that is a lot. I hope you know what you are doing. I am not upset with you though, but I will say this. You better treat them right.” Josephine said.

“I will mom. You, dad, and Debbie taught me well.” Patrick said and his mother smiled at him.

“I did try to teach you how to treat a girl, so I guess you will be fine. So, lunch is about ready. Why don’t you go out and tell your dad that everything will be ready in a couple of minutes.” Josephine said and Patrick nodded as he walked out of the house to get his dad.

When the two men came back inside, the three of them sat down at the table and began to eat. Not long later, they heard the door open and soon after Debbie walked into the kitchen.

“Hey sweetie. You want something to eat?” Josephine asked.

“No, we stopped on our way back home.” Debbie said.

“So, did you have fun this week?” Claude asked his daughter.

“Yeah. It was as fun as the one before my senior year, but it was still a lot of fun anyway.” Debbie said.

“I am glad you had fun. So, have you got everything ready for tomorrow?” Josephine asked.

“Yeah, I packed everything up before I went camping. All I have to do is load everything up in the morning.” Debbie said.

“Good. I want to catch up with you before you leave tomorrow.” Josephine said and Debbie nodded.

“So, I am guessing tonight is going to be family night then?” Patrick asked and everyone nodded in agreement.

“That should be fun.” Debbie said and the family continued to talk as Patrick, Josephine and Claude continued to eat their lunch.

NOTE: So, this is the end of the camping trip. I didn’t really see the need to go into the rest of the others unpacking and everything, so that won’t be added. Also, I will be changing the title of this story once I come up with a new name. I am going to continue the story in this thread because it will just be easier that way. Also, I will be taking some time off from this story so that I can do some more world building for the story since it will not be contained in the campgrounds anymore. I would also like to make some more characters before I start back up as well. I hope it doesn’t take that long to get back to work again, so I hope to have some stuff for you to read again as soon as I can. Thanks for all of the support and I hope that everyone will continue to enjoy the story into the future as well.
