Head into the mossy caves.

This looks to be the road less traveled. Perhaps you can get out that way without being seen. As you make your way through the cavern, being able to see yourself becomes a problem. as you wander onward, having to reach in front of you to know if you're nearing a wall, you follow a glimmer of light ahead.

You arrive at a torch hangar with a lit torch. There's simply no way to can see down the darkened tunnels as it is, so you decide to pick up the torch. With a light to see there are a few winding paths to consider. Having clawed your way through the dark, you have no idea which tunnel you came from. The paths all look the same at a glance. All you can do is pick one and start heading down it. May as well pick based on whatever detail catches your eye.
