Chapter 12 by RatDungReggie RatDungReggie

What next?

Head downstairs

Sure they had been rude to me over the years. But it's not like they abused me. My mother clearly disliked me, but she didn't sabotage me, or god forbid, hit me. She still paid for my food and clothes. And made sure I had anything I needed for school.

And while my sister was cold and distant, she wasn't antagonistic. She would never go out of her way to tell me good morning, but she wasn't bullying me by any stretch of the imagination.

With all that in mind, I made my decision.

I'm not evil, and I'm not a super villain.

Mind control my own family? No, I wasn't ready to go that far.

Instead, I headed downstairs, and quietly made myself breakfast.

I sat for a few minutes, calmly eating my cereal and contemplating my next moves.

If I wanted to get back at the Justice League, I'd need to start small. Running into Power Girl was a stroke of luck that wasn't likely to repeat itself. She was relatively unknown, sure. But having a kryptonian on my team early would have been a game changer.

I'd have to find a more public hero to start with. One that didn't mind being seen during the day, or mingling with us mortals.

I pulled open my phone and scrolled through the online Justice League roster on their website, until I stopped on a particularly interesting profile.

Zatanna.

The one who had inadvertently given me these stickers.

She was perfect. Not only would she be able to answer my questions about the stickers, but she was also a very public hero. She held shows all over the country, and wasn't shy about doing fan meetups.

It didn't hurt that she was absolutely gorgeous either.

As my plan began to take form, the rest of the house began to wake up. Hearing the tell tale signs of people moving upstairs, I decided I would leave before they came down. I quickly went back up and grabbed my backpack, stuffed a few essentials in it, and left out the front door.

Zatanna had a show in Jump City today. Luckily, that was only a 2 hour bus ride away from where I lived. I should have plenty of time to get there and scout out the area.

As I walked to the bus station, I sent my mom a quick text about hanging out with a friend today, then slipped my phone back into my pocket.

It was time for my story to REALLY begin. The Justice League wouldn't know what hit 'em.

What's next?
