Head North

Without anything else to guide me, I picked a direction and followed the trail. I hopped from tree to tree and paused to check my surroundings after each jump, so my progress was slow. But I was a small thing in a big world and the biggest advantage I had on my side was time. Those goddesses had said it outright: my ability to grow over time was my greatest strength. So I didn't rush it.

I followed the trail from the branches, getting to know the woods and memorizing the terrain as I went. It was calm and I enjoyed the process. Eventually, after perhaps two hours, my senses picked up something new. Voices? They weren't very close by. I waited for a few minutes before flitting to the next tree, and then again the next, drawing nearer to the sound.

It was voices. Three of them. I had located a small campsite. The owners of the voices came into view below me as I darted to another tree and settled down to spy on them. Elves. They hadn't noticed my arrival, as they were all busy with tasks around the camp before the sun dipped low enough to plunge their camp into deep shadow.

The trio consisted of two males and a female. All wore simple clothing and carried long knives and spears. One male was decidedly older than the others, and moved with an efficiency that demonstrated great competence and experience. The younger two were perhaps forty, which was on the young side for elves to be outside of their village. From the way they all spoke to each other, I discerned that they were engaged in a rookie training exercise. The old one—probably close to three hundred years old, judging by his ears, and still in excellent physical shape—I nicknamed Stern, because he never seemed to be pleased with the work of his trainees, whom I just thought of as Twink and Legs.

Legs captured most of my attention. Being the sole female, I watched her most intently. She was lithe, like most elves, with a slender body and smallish breasts. I hoped that wasn't going to be true of all elven women in this world, but mentally prepared myself for that eventuality. But her features had that elven ephemeral beauty, with pale skin and light colored hair, bright clear eyes, and an angular face. I wanted to have her.

I gathered intelligence with my God's Eye, starting with the most important stats: Legs was a virgin. Twink was her twin brother, also a virgin. Both of them were level 8 Wanderers, which I realized was the Tier I form of my own Ranger class. I wasn't sure exactly how to compare a Tier I class to a Tier 2 class, but judging by their stats, they would have a good chance of murdering me in a fair fight, and that wasn't even including Stern in the equation.

Stern was something else. He had multiple Tier II classes: Knight, Ranger, and Assassin, all around level 20. There would be no way I could take him without first doing a whole lot of grinding. It turned out he was some kind of Royal Champion in his land, as I found memories of him being honored in various ceremonies. His duty to his Queen was the most important thing in his life... So what was he doing babysitting these forty-year-old virgins...

Oh, wait.

I took another hard look at Legs and Twink. Their mother was the queen. They were prince and princess of the elven land I was currently invading. That settled it: I had to have the female. I wanted my first time in this new world to be deflowering a princess. It was worth risking my life for.
