Head Back Inside

Going back up the steps, you reenter the wagon and find Kanlara has prepared some soup and set the table.

"Welcome back. I wondered how long that would take you," she smirks as she takes her seat.

"Well, I may need help putting the feed back up in its place," you blush a bit out of embarrassment as you take the seat across from her.

"And that's why I always smile and wink for help loading it~ We'll handle that in the morning," she ladles some soup into your bowl.

"And about the horses. Are they-?"

"Yes," she responds before you can finish your question as she fills your own bowl. "Whatever you're thinking is probably right."

You nervously gulp as you, turn to your soup. With a slight giggle, Lara turns to her own soup. The meal is warm, filling and, although not the best thing you've ever had, tasty. Once the meal is finished, you begin cleaning the dishes together by hand.

"Why not use magic?" you ask.

"Magic requires discipline. Most importantly is whether or not to use magic for any given thing," she responds.

You nod as if understanding, and finish up the work with that. The witch strips down to her chemise, causing an old longing and a phantom stirring in your crotch. After helping you doing the same, she tosses a blanket and a pillow down onto the rug in a makeshift bed. She hops into her cot and cozies up as you settle yourself under your cover for the night. Despite how shortly you were awake, you manage to doze off with little difficulty.
