He waits for Wendy

Matt could really use the hundred bucks a week for fake-boyfriending Amy and he knew Karen would absolutely **** him if the deal fell through (and she lost the thirty a week he'd promised her out of the hundred) but Amy was already talking about backing out of the deal.

"Listen, Amy," Matt said as he approached her, "I'm not going to sit with you today because I don't want to put any pressure on you. I want you to decide on the deal by yourself, without me messing with you. Okay?"

Her chin trembled as she nodded.

"Good."

He headed further back, waiting until they reached Wendy's stop. It would be just his luck if she'd decided to ride with her mother today and he ended up riding alone.

But no, she was waiting at the bus stop looking cute in a pair of overall shorts that she wore over a thin tank top. She'd gone braless and the tank top was thin enough that he could see the points of her nipples through the fabric.
