Tyler did something he never anticipated himself doing at this moment in time -- cry. He cried silently, if only for a moment. He knew what he had done, and he knew that he had betrayed her trust.

He lied to himself. He felt sick.

Hey, I don't think we should do this anymore. We came really close to cheating, and it's best that we really do stop it. That's not to say it was you at all, in fact I'm doing this to preserve both of our relationships with out significant others. I still want to be your friend, but if you feel like that's going to be too hard, I understand, too.

She replied almost instantly.

I was about to get cold feet, too. We did something super super wrong and I'm sorry I instigated it again today. And I'd love to be your friend! Kaitlyn seems like a really sweet girl, so I'd actually like to get to know her, too. It'll be hard, but I think we can get through it :) Have a good night, Tyler. I'm going to call Tom, too. Feeling hella guilty.

He sighed. He was glad she was iffy, too. He went home that night, a huge weight off of his chest.

The next day he made the sweetest, most passionate love to his girlfriend he had ever made.

He looked her deep in her eyes. "I love you. I love you so, so much."

She smiled. "I know. I love you, more."

He let out a tiny laugh. "You wish."
