He rejects her

Her words were like a spurt of adrenaline down his spine. He felt a searing need to join her, mate with her, prey on these feeble humans. It took every ounce of his will to fight the temptation down.

"I want no part of you," he growled softly. "Touch me or mine and I will kill you."

"Such a bold young were," she chuckled throatily, reaching out and tapping him lightly on the nose. "You will have more chances to amend your thoughts. And your threats mean nothing to me. They are empty posturings of an angry child. Farewell for now, Hunter." She turned away striding across the lobby. Hunter watched her rump for a moment then strode after her, not willing to concede the last word to her.

With a lupine smile she glanced over her shoulder as she reached the lobby door and pushed it open, stepping out into the night. He was only seconds behind her, but when he emerged she was already across the street, standing in the mouth of an alley, watching him. With another cruel smile she stepped back into the darkness, tearing her dress off as she moved, her body already changing and transforming.

This was nothing like his own painful changes. It was fluid and quick, taking no more than a few seconds until her lovely human silhouette was replaced by the figure of a wolf. The creature put it's face into the light for a moment, drawing it's lips back with a snarl, looking as slender and deadly as a stiletto, before melting away into the darkness.
