Chapter 9 by The Dark Traveler The Dark Traveler

How does the Knight respond?

He excepts

"I Sir Hugh accept the terms set by the Lady Alisa. Tell me, Dragon what are the stakes in this game, will I get the glory of killing you should I win?" Sir Hugh asks dismounting his horse. He removes his helmet to reveal blond hair cut short and a scar upon his head.

"Lady Alisa had me propose this plan so that I could live yet she still be claimed, which she desires greatly. Should you defeat me you may claim Alisa and leave with as much of my hoard as you can carry. Should I defeat you I will take your horse and whatever gold or other coins you may have you may then leave dishonoured and defeated and go try your luck at some other castle or on some other quest. Are these terms agreeable?" You ask

"What would you want with my horse?" Sir Hugh asked confused.

"After a normal fight, I would eat you and the horse should I be victorious but since I would live if you win I cannot ask you to put your life at stake, however, I still need sustenance." You reply.

"Fine I agree to the terms, Dragon." he says in emphasising the word dragon with disgust.

You set up your dragon size game and start playing with you taking the side of black, letting him go first. Some time in you spot a risky opportunity. You could move your knight into a position that would sacrifice it allowing your bishop to threaten the king or you could take the Queen with your knight removing a large threat from the match.

What do you choose.
