Chapter 4 by CuriouslyWatching CuriouslyWatching

What happens when Izuku goes back to the shrine the next day after school?

He's Able to Repair the Statue

Thankfully Izuku was able to use a protective magic spell under his school uniform so that when Bakugo tried to attack him, his explosion magic wasn't able to do any damage as he had to limit their size while inside the school.

After rushing out of the school, Izuku moved to the alleys in a similar manner as the day before in hopes that it would help him find the old shrine he was looking to help repair.

Walking through the alleys, Izuku recognized a tree that he had seen just before he made it to the turn with the shrine. Jogging down the same path he had yesterday, he stopped when he came to the entrance of the shrine.

Izuku wasn't able to explain it, but as he walked into the shrine area he felt safer and more comfortable than he had all day.

Kneeling at the base of the statue, Izuku made a guess, "Thank you Kami-Sama," he said while clasping his hands.

He giggled as the feeling of warmth he had associated with the shrine pulsed. His guess had been correct, the deity who occupied the shrine was still around and seemed happy to see him.

Smiling towards the shrine, Izuku looked around the alley the shrine was located in and noticed how parts of the statue seemed to be scattered all over the place.

"Pel-Arilt," he chanted as he used his summoning spell to gather all of the pieces of the statue at its base. Carefully controlling the spell, he directed all of the parts that were flying to him from all over the place to carefully lower and not break each other.

When his spell stopped, Izuku knew that he had gathered all of the white marble shards that were around. Taking a deep breath, Izuku cast what he knew would be his last large spell of the day, "Huj-Fukjo."

With his repair spell cast Izuku was able to watch as all of the large chucks rose from the ground first and seemed to fit together before the next size smaller pieces rose up as well.

Before the smallest fragments were picked up from the ground by the spell, Izuku could make out that the statue was a goddess, but he couldn't yet tell what she looked like.

When the marble dust settled from all of the connecting and moving stones, Izuku's breath hitched at how beautiful the goddess looked.

Leaning against the alley wall, Izuku tiredly clasped his hands and told the statue, "I'm afraid I've worn myself out repairing your statue Kami-Sama, but don't worry! I'll be back tomorrow, you can count on me!" his voice picked up at the end and he felt the warmth of the goddess swell surrounding him like a hug.

Hobbling home, Izuku turned at the end of the alley to bashfully wave goodbye and felt the warm pulse like a giggle.

What happens to Izuku after he leaves the shrine?
