Hate In The Alfonso Office (Two Weeks Later…)

Two weeks later…

Cassie let out a sigh as she laid back on her mattress, staring up at the ceiling. She’d been hiding out in various places for the past two weeks, having spent the past couple of nights in an old clock tower. It’s not that she needed to, of course. She could’ve gone to a shelter. She just didn’t want to run the chance of someone finding her there.

When she’d woken up the morning after her and Fonzie’s last encounter, the young blonde had opted to leave before her nemesis had woken up as well. She just couldn’t handle facing her after everything that had happened. She needed time to figure out what that night truly meant to her, and she needed to be alone to do it.

Likewise, Cassie had recently learned that her father and Olette were looking for her. Apparently, her ex-girlfriend was **** to find her, genuinely apologetic for what she’d said to her. However, Cassie was pretty sure that O was well within her rights to say it after what the fallen heroine had done to her. And, as for her father, she wasn’t sure if she could face him as she was. She didn’t feel like herself anymore, and she needed to figure out who she was now.

Looking out into a nearby alleyway, Cassie saw another of the posters with her face plastered on it, and with the word ‘STARSLUT’ spray painted over it. At first, seeing those made her angry, like how dare someone say that about her. But, as horrible as it was that those photos were leaked to the media, she was the one who made the choice to go to Fonzie’s office and let her do those things in plain sight where anyone could see her. Yes, she was a victim, but it was due to a decision she made, knowing full well there would be consequences for her.

Maybe that IS who I am now, Cassie contemplated. Maybe the only way to move on is to own it…
