The other tenants of the market hated Lily. While they tried to sell their hand-made item and art, Lily sold knock off crap and Chinese made clothes.

Trying to convince Lily she had no place at their market and she would be better off somewhere else was futile. Lily told them where they could stick their "crappy art," and she had a right to make a living.

One of the artists made voodoo dolls and charms, and she had used one on Lily. She put Lily in a deep trance and told her she could never haggle and had to accept any offer for anything she had in her stand, and she would be happy to take it.

Later that day, a man jokingly offered a banana for all the clothes Lily was wearing, and she gladly took it.

Her neighbors in the market could not stop laughing.
