Hannah gave Simon a tour of the SHARC.

"Here's your room!"

Simon followed Hannah into his new living quarters. The white-walled and carpeted room was furnished with a full-sized bed, a wooden dresser, and a small wooden desk with a lamp and office chair, but the room was still larger than his last studio. As Simon looked at the surprisingly large closet, Hannah stayed standing by the front door.

"Your rent is free as part of your work contract. There's a full bathroom, and you don't have to worry about running out of hot water thanks to this facility's enchanted water heater. Here, this is your room key and your welcome packet."

The short blue woman handed a door key and a thick green folder to Simon.

"This has a copy of our employee handbook which includes our code of conduct, phone numbers for every department, and a map of the facility. It also has your commissary card which we've connected to your bank account. Your signing bonus will be deposited tomorrow morning, and future pay will be directly deposited every two weeks on Friday mornings. Now, if you leave your suitcase here, we can continue the tour."

Simon left his suitcase on the bed before he and Hannah stepped out of the room. As he followed the short elemental girl, his eyes were drawn down to her tall heels clacking on the hard floor and her bare calves still covered in beads of sweat. Simon wondered if it was actually sweat or normal water. Right as he began to fantasize licking one of her legs to find out, both legs suddenly stopped moving and had turned around. Simon looked up and failed to prevent his embarrassed face from blushing, but the smiling Hannah seemed to ignore his staring as she started explaining the laundry services.

"There should be a laundry bag in your dresser already but if not or if you need more, you can grab more here. The laundry room is staffed 24/7 and the normal turnaround time is four hours, but it might take longer depending on stains."

Simon looked towards the long counter set into the wall that separated the hallway from a giant room filled with industrial washers and dryers. A tall centaur woman wearing a gray AWIO polo stood behind the counter. Her human skin was tan and her eyes, long braided hair, and horse lower half were all brown. As she leaned over the counter, she smiled and greeted Simon with a "Hello" and a wave. As Simon waved back while marveling at seeing such a fantastical creature in real life, he was brought back to real life by Hannah.

"Do you have any questions?"

Simon looked down at the water elemental's perfectly dry work suit jacket and skirt.

"How are your clothes dry?"

Hannah grinned and as she excitedly talked about her outfit, as she slowly spun side to side to show off how her gray clothes.

"Well, with me working here, I was able to afford this enchanted outfit! It doesn't collect any moisture, or smells, or even wrinkles, so I don't have even have to wash it."

"Yeah, unlike her bed sheets."

Hannah glared towards the smirking centaur for a moment before turning back to Simon with the same smile she had before.

"Let's continue the tour."

Hannah then quickly glared at the centaur again before turning away and continuing down the hall. Simon looked towards the centaur who was chuckling.

"You better go catch up to your tour guide."

Simon suddenly realized just how fast Hannah could walk in her obscenely tall heels and how far away she had already gotten. He hurried after her and right after he caught up, Hannah stopped in front of another counter similar to the laundry counter. However, behind this counter was a large warehouse with rows of shelves holding crates and boxes.

Also behind the counter was a pale-skinned bat girl hanging upside down from a bar which in turn was hanging down from the ceiling. Her long black hair looked comical as it hung down from her head and as Hannah and Simon approached, the sleeping girl struggled to open her eyes. She slowly unwrapped her black leathery wings from around herself which revealed the bat girl was wearing blue denim overalls. The sides of the garment were cut to just below her waist to fit the wings attached to the girl's sides and the bottoms of her arms. She let out a long yawn as she stretched out her fuzzy black arms.

"Good morning."

While Simon stared at the sleepy bat girl, Hannah spoke to Simon.

"This is the commissary. Because your work will have you confined to the building, the AWIO will provide all basic household items to you for free. If the commissary does not have something you'd like, you can fill out an acquisition form and purchase it, and the commissary will get it for you. The wait time will depend on the item, but remember: Human and Monster Resources will only reimburse you if the item is deemed necessary."

"Where would I get one of those forms?"

The bat girl reached behind the counter and pulled out a sheet of paper. After turning the paper around to read what was on it, she slid the form towards Simon. He grabbed the sheet and gave it a once over before sticking it in his folder for later.

"Thanks."

"Mmhmm."

As Hannah led Simon away from the commissary and the sleepy bat girl, Simon felt the need to ask Hannah a question.

"Hannah, are most of the monster girls here so..."

"Different?"

Hannah cut him off as she turned her head back to smile at him while she continued walking.

"Why don't we go to the cafeteria so you can see for yourself?
