Hannah Star had just wrapped up the last finals of her sophomore year at Cerulean State College.
Because most of her grades consisted of papers she had written in the course of the year, she had few actual finals left to take.
She had been approached about extracurricular activities up and around Cerulean State College and Striation Beach but didn't commit herself to any of them, and she would receive her final grade in the mail anyway.
That meant she could head home to Cerulean Beach early this year. A full quinzara before Dies Feralis.

She recalled that she had been somewhat anxious in the days leading up to taking her phenotest. Now she chalked it up to always being the more scholarly-minded of the two, but back then she was so uncertain about her options, thinking they were dependent on her test results.

Gaby, on the other hand, didn't seem anxious at all when they had talked about it. But then she had always been more of a tomboy in nature. And she also loved being in the water so it came as no surprise that she had become a lifeguard as soon as she was eligible.

Hannah had tested PO so college wasn't a problem. But even now she did not know what she would have done if she'd tested PH. Running all this through her mind again confirmed her conviction to be there when Gaby took her phenotest. It was the big sisterly thing to do, the thing she would have wanted when she took her phenotest.

Cerulean Beach Station / CAT

I just got off the train from Striation Beach. Time for some R&R and sis-time before she gets her phenotest at the end of this quinzara.

Striation Beach isn’t bad but I do like our Cerulean Beach beaches more. Being a beach town with a large beach, it qualified as a holiday site so Cerulean Beach is part of the direct line program of major railways across the Lupus Federation. Apart from that Striation Central is a transport hub for interstate travel to Cerulean State or the Beach State as it is also known because Cerulean State is stretched along the coastline all sandy beaches.
Therefore I made good time because I didn’t need to transfer coming from the state capital.

It’s nice weather so normally I would walk home to CAT.
Cerulean Beach Station is situated between the beachside of town and the urban side of the town. All I had to do was walk down the main road until I reached CAT.
The road which at the same time connected and divided the two parts of town was named very imaginatively Main Street.

But I cleaned out my room at college so I’m hauling some luggage thus ... “Taxi !”
After the taxi drops me off at CAT I go to the store.
It’s around noon so everybody will be at the store or tank shop anyway.

When I enter the store Ginger calls out to me.
“Hi Hannah, back already?”
But before I can answer she adds, “ Great timing by the way. We’re expecting Sandy any minute.”
“Sandy Wood, SPCP?”
“Yeah, they're all in the back.”

I don’t bother asking more and push through to the back of the store and enter the door to the meeting room behind the store. A few scenarios run through my mind. But they all scream pet.
